What is spending £250m i n summer and 4 players in this window if its not a rebuild. Need somebody that players look up to and can motivate them

All very well blaming players and not Potter but he is there to bloody motivate them to perform. May at least be more acceptable if he showed some emotion on the touchline. He stands there as if its a game in the park. He has never managed a club that expect to win. I repeat for all his praise only 4 sides scored fewer goals than Brighton last season

I could accept Potter coming if he had some experience in place to help him. But no came with all Brightons staff. Not one with any experience at the top. How on earth do you get top players to respond and look up to them. Same with taking there recruitment team. Again these people have been scouting at a different level. Is it a coincidence that Brighton are scoring far more goals under there new manager.

How very sad. We are Chelsea, spent £200m on players and here we are praising the side because they worked hard. I am sorry but with financial backing we have , minimum should be competing for a C/L place. Newcastle are proving it is not buying loads of players but playing as a team and well coached

I just dont understand what the attraction is in taking Brightons recruitment team. No disrespect they look for players that will keep them in PL.. We are in a different market altogether.

Never realised we have also taken Brightons head of recruitment. Where do we stop. They cant have many senior staff left

Completely different job to managing Brighton. Have just looked at his achievements at Brighton. For 3 seasons they were always one of lowest scorers. Last season won 3 of last of last 5 which shot them up table otherwise would have again been in bottom 6. Apart from been a yes man and 4th in table after just 7 games still dont see why we were attracted to someone at this level. Let alone bringing all his coaches who had never coached top class players.

Really could do with Potter showing a liitle passion on touchline and could certainly do without him telling our team that they are not as good as Arsenal.

Lets hope he does well but lets face it main reason Potter is here is because he will agree with everything our owner says

He is such a nice guy everyone will like him which will delight the owner. Important thing is that everyone respects his managerial skills ,tactics and dealing with players. Keep our fingers cross Alan Sugar once said business people lose brains when they go into football. Giving 5 unproven people 5 year contracts I think confirms this.

As a Brighton supporter I am amazed how you all are happy with this appointment. Good luck and hope it works out but you are taking a mighty big chance. So surprised a club like Chelsea have not gone for someone who has experience right at top of game. Potter has done well for us a side that thinks its a great achievement to finish half way. I think we won 3 of last 4 and finished 9th. Our football is good to watch but not in last third. Only 3 sides last year scored less. Great coach at Brighton but different now you expect to win every game. Just have a feeling at your level you now have a yes man that will not say boo to owner. Very little emotion watching games and will never question a referee decision. Know nothing about previous manager but at least won things which is a must for Chelsea Sure he had too much to say to owner
