In the Potter thread I wrote a comment about some of my reservations on the managers who would realistically be in the running so I thought I'd get a general consensus on who would the fans realistically like to take over should Potter get the boot soon.

Pochettino for his proven Prem experience, add to that I'd argue we have a similar squad composition to Pochettino's Spurs (except an out and out #9/#10 like Kane)

Flick, Zidane - no Prem experience and let's be honest a goat could have managed Bayern/Real with the talent in their squads at the time.

Enrique - history of underperformance whoever he's managed.

Wanted Zidane when TT went! I think we’ll probably end up with Poch unless we scope around any young English managers currently in division 3 first!

We've effectively tried that model. Could Ryan Lowe have done any worse than Potter

Surely the situation with Pirlo at Juve has ended this type of nonsense?

And why Is "prem experience" such a deal breaker? Out of our 5 title winning season's only one of those came under a manager who arrived with previous experience in these shores.

That said i don't think Zidane is suited to the current remit, Flick maybe but by many accounts he makes Conte look humble.

I think it will be Poch if we need a new manager quickly, Enrique will be asked first yet will not want it at this moment without a pre-season.

Poch will feel he knows the premiership.

Want Zidane or Carlo. Realistically think it will be Pochettino though if Potter goes before the end of the season.

Both wouldn't work with this current squad.

They're both top but also man manager type managers who come in to keep the big players happy first and foremost, neither have a strong track record when it comes to developing and improving younger players.

In a dream world Tuchel gets his job back and we pretend the past 5 months didn't happen

In actual world probably Flick/Poch/Enrique. I'd probably lean towards Poch given his abilty to make average players look very good.

Kjeti Knutsen or Oliver Glasner.

I'm sure David Ornstein mentioned we were after Glasner in the summer but he rejected us.  Don't know much about him to be fair but assume he fits the data driven model.

As they desperately try to convince themselves that things will come good under Potter, the Yanks will cite the return of Chilli, Reece, Sterling and Fofana as great news, with Kante soon to follow. Once the likes of Fernandez and MM settle in, all will be wonderful. Even Cucurella at £60M will no doubt prove the critics wrong. In reality these thoughts are delusional. Potter must go. I would definitely bring in Poch……like now.

Flick took over Kovac same players that were struggling became the best team in europe.

Zidane took over Benitez and did the same.

At the end if the day with the squad we are looking to assemble, actually having coaches that have won with quality sides is surely an advantage?

We are looking for someone to come in and turn water into wine here.

We need someone that can turn talent into trophies.

I don't care. Even crazy ideas like bringing in Lampard as an interim solution until summer seem great compared to what we have with Potter now.
