So an Argentinian Potter with even less European experience?

... who can't speak English !

Bit of a dilemma when the ownership cite "poor communication" as the reason they dispended with Tuchel LOL. I suppose there would always the option of a translator or a babel fish🙂.

All academic now anyway. Big ownership spin article in the Telegraph just published, and they are sticking with Potter

Of course they are going to say that.

I'd rather we never went down the club legend route even on an interim basis.

Lampard with this same season and he'd still get cheered to the rafters.

I don't believe JT would do worse than Potter, he could be an intern for the rest of the season if we lose to Spurs and then it would be a win-win, no pressure for him and he gets to put it on a CV and we get to see our team not dropping out from the PL 😄

But if he gets a new manager bounce that is another potential problem going forward as fans will get too over emotional and put pressure on the board to make him permanent then as we saw with Lampard and Mou if/when his spell collapses only arout 10/20% of the fanbase will be able to put sentiment aside and let their head rule. Also as funny as we found it when he digged out Savage and Benitez that type to pettiness never translates well to management, imagine if a player questions his tactics and he responds with "come back when you win what I did for this club?".

Atleast with Potter he will either turn it around or the fans will make his position hell (not that I think it will make any difference unless they go a step further and empty Stamford Bridge but still).

Yeah seeing Lamps torn apart in the hot seat was enough for me, don't want JT anywhere near it.

Unfortunately, I think I look a little but like Potter at first glance, at the moment. So I'd have to shave the beard lest people think it's still him.

Well if it is just a players revolt ( I seriously doubt that) then what about Zola till the end of the season.

Lord no. He deserves so much better.

Great player, lovely bloke, terrible manager.

Could not damage his managerial career any further in my opinion and also hopefully he helps find another decent free-kick taker.

I'm taking another coaching course at the moment to try and improve my training sessions. So I should be ready to take over by the summer.

We look forward to some cunning corner kicks, and Alex-esque shots destroying the goal net!

That's one more coaching course than Potter has done, see you in the summer 🙏

I will happily change my stance on Potter if Zeta is the one to take over. You can see he is both strict and fair, as well as having lots of experience dealing with divas, by how he has handled @Munkworthin the prediction thread.

1. De Zerbi

Say what you want about Potter giving him the ingredients but he’s made an omelette out of it, young.. but has consistent experience in implementing effective attacking structures with a clear identity, with the quintessential Italian tactical nous. His base system is that akin to City & Arsenal. The only question mark over him is transitioning to a bigger club but someone will take a chance if we don’t.

2. Luis Enrique

An elite coach, setup Spain with incredible on & off the ball structure, didn’t quite work out but he has the football education and ability to implement it Potter could only dream of. However, fully understand the hesitancy, as he seems only capable of winning with elite talent. Nonetheless, he’s at a point in his career to make a name for himself again at club level, so long as we have the squad for it; which we ‘almost’ do.. about 3 positions away.

That would be utterly embarrassing on our end to try and pick off De Zerbi off Brighton all things considered.
