  1. Jim, just a hunch but would I be right in thinking that, politically, you sit to the left of centre ? Probably, I am thinking, very far to the left lol.
  2. Todd should just hold his hands up and say, yep, I screwed up completely with the Potter appointment (just look at Potter’s CV to remind yourselves how two half decent seasons at Brighton was never enough to justify him coming to SW6). If it means he is bulleted after the Liverpool game (and frankly how he is still in the job is beyond me), I would happily see us tonked 3 nil by the vermin. The season is over so bring in anyone on a temp basis until May and then hope Todd gets the next appointment right (although I wouldn’t bank on that). He has waltzed in here in arrogant American fashion, sacked everyone in sight, spent a fortune on new players when he didn’t actually need to……and he is now reaping what he has sown. What a circus.
  3. Would Potter take a point now if offered ?
  4. Poch still lives in the UK, Hadley Wood, just north of Greater London, to be precise. Currently out of work so could start tomorrow. Did an amazing job at Spurs where he was a God. Lest we forget, save for an incredibly dodgy penalty gifted to Liverpool in Madrid, Poch was that close to lifting the Champions League. I would bring him in immediately…..and before next Tuesday to give us half a chance of progression in the Champs League. Under Potter, we are without doubt going out of the competition…..and remaining rudderless going forward.
  5. The Guardian reporting that the Yanks want to stick with Potter through the summer so as to benefit from a pre-season, a recalibration (presumably that means a clear out of players) of the squad and the addition of the forward Nkunku from Leipzig. if that’s all true, oh dear………#PotterOut!
  6. I would expect Potter to be shown the door by this time tomorrow, but then I expected him to have been sacked after the Southampton game. If Todd doesn’t wield the axe now, maybe an exit from the Champions League on Wednesday might do the trick. One thing is for certain……this can not be allowed to go on.
  7. Yes…..and we must give Potter time to bed in and find his feet. I am sure he’s a lovely fella but he’s in the wrong job at the wrong club. Add to that his repeated positive comments about the opposition in post match interviews. Not acceptable, frankly. You don’t get the top elite managers eg Pep, Klopp, Conte, TT etc bigging up the oppo……”Brighton played very well…..Southampton were well organised” etc. This week we have had the ‘poor Potter’ press coverage……how the stress is getting to him and his family etc……almost sowing the seeds for his inevitable exit. Oh how he must wish he’d stuck with that £1.5M pa on the south coast.
  8. Genuine question…….would we take a three nil defeat on Sunday if it meant Potter was bulleted on Monday morning ? I absolutely in all seriousness would take that.
  9. On the basis Todd gave Potter the dreaded vote of confidence on Monday, expect him to be sacked next Monday, if we lose to Spurs. Surely Spurs have rarely over recent years had a better chance of rubbing our noses in the dirt.
  10. As they desperately try to convince themselves that things will come good under Potter, the Yanks will cite the return of Chilli, Reece, Sterling and Fofana as great news, with Kante soon to follow. Once the likes of Fernandez and MM settle in, all will be wonderful. Even Cucurella at £60M will no doubt prove the critics wrong. In reality these thoughts are delusional. Potter must go. I would definitely bring in Poch……like now.
  11. The blame for this whole debacle lies squarely with the Yanks. Appointing a manager with no CV justifying him getting the job / clearing out pretty well all backroom staff / ditto boardroom staff / paying the utterly ludicrous prices for all of the incoming players. Todd and Co have been made to look like complete fools. Potter should be sacked today but will probably limp on. Showing him the door would be the Yanks acknowledging their massive error made…..and to me they look too arrogant to hold their hands up on this front. Let the circus continue.
  12. …….and we can’t even bring on a game changer like Cucurella second half as he’s not even on the bench.
  13. Dortmund are 5 league wins on the bounce. Clearly on form. This could get messy. Just saying.
  14. I would take a point now if offered, but preferably at least two all to show we can start scoring goals.
  15. Gallagher I can’t work out. England squad player but at the same time I wonder if he is any better than some midfielders playing in Div 1 or 2.
  16. Havertz at 9 is a shambles. No physical presence. Our version of Ozil. Clearly talented but offers very little. Why have we never tried to buy someone like Toney from Brentford ?
  17. Absolutely no end product last night. Never tested Leno. Could have played for 5 hours and or scored. Very poor.
  18. Sadly Kante has I think only averaged about 20 odd games per season over the last 3.5 seasons. That is hopeless really. Such a great player but just keeps getting crocked.
  19. Todd has only played on the US sports stage. Very little experience of the global game that is football. Blown £300M already. Sacked loads of back up peeps eg Cech, and the medical team etc, plus of course TT. Given a long contract to a manager with supposed potential but no actual CV of worth. Current situation, meltdown. How long before the backers and lenders start questioning the whole venture ?
  20. A reliable source tells me that Todd’s people are in touch with Guus Hiddinck.
  21. There is one blatantly obvious name waiting in the wings to replace Potter, and he is someone with a decent pedigree and CV. Currently available so no exit terms to be agreed with any current club. I for one would take him now in a heartbeat. Step forward Poch.
  22. The next two games for Potter are absolutely crucial. Am thinking the minimum return must be 3 points. Anything less and I will be amazed if he survives, especially as someone mentioned today that he had just had the dreaded ‘vote of confidence’ from Uncle Todd. That’s the kiss of death !
  23. If Potter really is on £12Mpa, it really is mind blowing dosh. That’s £1M per month before tax, £500K per month after tax going into his bank account. He must be heading home tonight wherever he lives thinking “I’m literally robbing a living here”. Half a bar a month for abject failure.
  24. Give Potter time. He still has 4.75 years on his contract left. Lol. It has been a disastrous appointment. The Yanks will have to act, and very soon, and admit they made a huge mistake in bringing Potter in. I thought as much as soon as he arrived. Just look at his CV. He has in reality achieved nothing of any worth…..Brighton, Swansea, and before that some unknown Swedish outfit. The chickens have come home to roost.
