February 16, 20233 yr Rumour has it, if we lose this game, @Munkworthhome address will be posted in various Southampton FC bars.... ....but is not gonna happen, shooting boots will be back on for this one I reckon. Comfortable win for us. Walking in a Potter wonderland
February 16, 20233 yr I don't want to risk Chilwell or James getting injured so I think we need them rested here. No point picking Mudryk when Cucurella plays either. Also woild like Fofana to see some minutes from the bench, Wesley Fofana that is. Also have to play Mount against them, he always ups his game for them. Kepa Dave Silva Badiashile Cucurella Zakaria Kovacic Enzo Madueke DD Fofana Mount

I would also consider resting Thiago. Maybe try Badiashile with Chabolah. Would be good to see both Fofana's feature though.

Potter at No 9 - then at least we won't be arguing about who's fault it is 😁 Edited February 16, 20233 yr by Bebe1980
February 16, 20233 yr Played much better against Dortmund, so we'll need to repeat that and hopefully if we have another 21 attempts against Southampton then at least a few of them will go in this time. It is a good time to be playing a side bottom of the league and without a manager ... we really need a team to beat convincingly, and they are probably the only team in the league that we'd have a chance of doing that against right now ... over to you GP 🙂

February 16, 20233 yr In our last 16 games, we won only 4 games! It's unbelievable that every game we're playing, we have 50% of not winning it...

February 16, 20233 yr I can't watch us anymore this season. I've reached my limit and it's not because of Potter. My mental health is going seeing us not being able to score and seeing Havertz stink it up every game. Its the hope that kills you and the hope that we can score 1 or 2 goals again with Kai Havertz being the focal point, which aint happening is killing me.
February 16, 20233 yr I'd give Silva a game off, just don't fancy him recover after Wednesday night football plus travel. It's a pity that Jones is no longer managing Southampton, we might had a better chance with him in charge. Exepect a No manager bounce back from Southampton, they probably just relieved the madness is over and time to play some football. I reckon we score an early goal like last week, pass ourselves to sleep, miss a few more chances and Ward Prowse score a free kick in 88th minute to draw the game.

I really don't get what people have against Havertz. He is not a number 9. Our number nines are Auba (won't feature again for us), Broja (long time injury) and DD Fofana (18 year old boy from Norwegian league). I think as time goes on Kai - Felix will come more fluid. Yesterday Kai was very good first half. He setup Joao's both chances and did well in linkup play in general. He needs seriously work on his finishing and use the power that he has in his big frame. I understand the frustration but for some reason he is the focal point of anger for some fans.
February 16, 20233 yr Think havertz is playing well. I too would rest Thiago and have koulibaly and badiashile. I play James again but maybe not chiller. If kova is fit he could play in midfield.

You should drink more, then only your liver and braincells will be going. Much better. February 16, 20233 yr Fingers crossed that Bednarek keeps up his current form. If so a narrow 1- 0 win or, most likely a 1-1 draw. The dagger of a Ward-Prowse free kick would not surprise
February 16, 20233 yr I was looking forward to the Dortmund game and we were unlucky not to get something out of that. I'm sure we'll win this one, not just because Southampton are bottom, but because we're looking more and more dangerous and likely to score with every game we play. Roll on Saturday - Chelsea ⚽⚽⚽ Southampton 🦆

We traveled, Chilwell is fresh off his first start in many month and James has played 3 on the spin. We need them for Spurs, we don't need them to beat Southampton.
