And yet Maradonna had his hand of god and is remembered as a great footballer. And despite that handball anyone who watched that tournament will have seen how he was clearly a great player and how diminished that tournament and football in general would have been diminished without Maradonna. Your view is churlish in my opinion but there you go. . I don’t see neymar being injured as  karma but as a loss to people like me who like to watch great footballers.

Raising a glass of UKR vodka to Jim tonight. If he gets 20 league goals this season (not Jim), i'll happily donate 1 quid per goal as my budget dictates to this yard.
Im only gonna offer this about Jackson's performance today, if we play to his strengths, we get goals. I know he's hit or miss, but I love a trier and this lad runs himself into the ground, even when the ball bounces off his shin or his 50 pence head and the trauma he inflicted upon us and himself trying to in trying to play the ball in the second half with his bonce giving away a free kick, or the left foot chance crime scene.. he kept going, he is relentless. I dip my hat to that. Look at Chuna, Isak, he's on a par but different.
I love wacko. he's nuts... brilliant in a different way to Costa. he's doing the bizz and I'll put up with the horror shows because eventually we're going to get something pretty consistent and cool from him and we're on a great little run he has been part of and finding the back of the net. Lets. I'll judge him and his carachter when we go through a bad run of form.
Really want Cole out wide right with Noni, Jackson up top and Nkunku behind, I think Nkunku got so much to give this side, proper intelligent busy number 10 behind Jackson. Palmer doesnt yet have that fabregas pass inside a centre half, That's what Jackson needs, Palmer we'd be overloading on the pitch on right hand side. Sancho, Mydryk, Neto - Neto sharing left with Sancho.
Jacksons goals have helped in part put us where we are and wow - who'd have thought it.

He’s a championship manager dealing with a “young and unexciting” team that “no one wants to manage” and has a dressing room filled with 40+ players to manage.

We’d be lucky to get 10th.

    Exactly this .....
There were mixed feelings on Maresca's tactics at Leicester. We all knew what he was trying to do, the players bought into it and it worked most of the time. However, because some of our players weren't good enough to play like that against the better teams, on occasion it led to too much  tippy tappy football in defence with mistakes leading to goals against, together with very slow tedious build up in attack leading to nothing.  It felt like there wasn't a plan B to  change things mid game but TBF it was probably due to not having the right players to bring on.  We definitely need a rebuild.
From what I've seen of your games it looks like he does have tactical flexibility now he has a wealth of players to choose from.
Yep, he got us up which was what mattered but wouldn't have been able to strengthen the team sufficiently to make it work for us in the Prem.  Good luck to him though, it looks like he is going to be a top manager.
With regards to KDH, he was born and bred in Leicestershire, about 3 miles from where I grew up. He came through our academy and is a Fox through and through really, I think he would have been happy to stay with us but the Financial Unfair Play rules mean that smaller clubs like us have to sell our best home grown talent to balance the books.  He may not have the silky skills of some of your other options but he will always put a shift in and will always give 100%. I'm sure he'll develop with better players around him and will do a good job for you, probably mostly in your games in Europe where you need a battler in midfield.  Look after him please, all true Foxes will wish him well on his big break, just like we always respected the amazing Kante who worked his socks off for us right to the end (and unlike Fofana who pretty much downed tools to force his move through - no respect due there I'm afraid)
Many of us have concerns about Nistelroy with his lack of Prem in management experience but it isn't working out too shoddy for Maresca and at least he has something to prove & should command respect with players and fans.  Unlike Cooper who I do feel a bit sorry for but was always going to have a struggle to convince a big part of our fan base due to his Forest connections (something that didn't really bother those of us who can remember the success we had with Martin O'Neill and Captain Morgan, both ex Forest).
Good luck in your quest for top 4, looking good so far.  Look after our KDH 👍

I haven’t done the work on fees, but he only has a year left on his contract. A year ago his contract would have cost nearly double what it’s worth today.

I know you're always desperate to be annoyed at the club but surely we can give him a bit longer than a pre season friendly where we were missing half of our first team to decide.

But while we're on the subject, Sarri is the most disrespected manager in our history and still ended up easily top 4 with a European cup in his first season. We didn't get to see how we'd have kicked on in his second season because he was booed out of the club by our fans who, ironically, spent the best part of a decade crying that we had no managerial stability.

My issue isn't the impending departure, it's the paltry fee, especially when compared to the fee that they expect for their done nothing centre forward.

Gallagher would be a better 8 than Enzo but I don't think there has ever been any consensus on this forum that he was a certain starter. He does  represent the club culture well though and I'll be sorry to seem him go, whereas I didn't miss Mount at all.
It's not like we didn't know this was coming. Him leaving 's been talked about for 12 months. If he stays then Enzo has to play 6 and there's no room for either Lavia or Dewsbury Hall and Ugo and Carney get even less minutes.
We have too many quality midfielders and not enough quality defenders.

1.9 metres is not short (6' 4").  It's probably around premier league average. Reading about it wingspan is more important than height although I guess both matter.

The tour has been a sh** show so far and the inverted full back looks cr**. However game 2 was nevertheless a big improvement from game 1 partly due to Celtic attacking more but partly due to us actually playing better in the midfield.
I won't be judging the team, the owners or management on preseason, but I'd be the first to agree it's been garbage so far. If we must have an inverted fullback Cucu is the only one that knows how to do it. James doesn't have the recovery pace to get back into position and frankly isn't sufficiently defensive minded to do the running work on turnovers.
You can also argue that now is indeed the time to have the seemingly big weaknesses of the system exposed. The truer test of a team is not how you perform when things go well but how you deal with adversity. I know that's a trite saying but thats when you find out about character and mentality. No doubt things can get a lot worse yet.

More than happy to give Fofana time to get match fit in the broader sense but Badiashile needs to be moved on tomorrow. He is a coach and team killer, just too mistake prone like really bad mistakes that destroy confidence in the defence. Panics under pressure and really nowhere near the standard required. Maybe it is just confidence but there have been far too many mistakes not just on this preseason but in the league last season.

Who is us here mate. They wont be making much money off me. How will they make money? Via the club value going up? Not if results are bad. Through player profits? Right now they are running at a loss.

They are smart guys financially and I'm keen to learn how I can spend a fortune on a football club and start making a ton off fans.

Mate...whoever posted up "The disaster brothers" needs shedend membership for life. Best way to describe them.
Colwill and fofana as cb pairing with trev as backup. If they really care about the club and the disaster brothers don't improve then owners should take a hit and sell them both. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I don't see the potential in them either, if that's the excuse the owners use!

That must be the connections if they don’t have their own charter. It’s only 5.5 hours lax to LaGuardia (New York) and much less to Chicago which seems to be the closest big airport. Plus the three hours time difference. That’s the point as an athlete you are getting very screwed up I guess. Once I went marketing in NY from Sydney. When I arrived the evening before the hotel informed me the sales desk had arranged an extra upstate early meeting so I set the clock alarm  for 6 am and crashed. The alarm went off I blearily got dressed and was about to head out when I realized the noise was a phone and what I read on the clock as 6 am was actually 12:30 am. A long time ago now but I haven’t improved unfortunately.
