July 25, 2024Jul 25 Author 9pm, Hopefully I won't fall asleep through this one...although I missed most of the second half of the first match. I hope this one is better.
July 25, 2024Jul 25 They beat City in their last game...so I'm expecting another masterful demonstration of the 'inverted full backs' from our new Manager, and then see how many times Celtic get behind us on the flanks and score far post goals...just saying. Should be a thriller though 😉
July 26, 2024Jul 26 Some more jet lag heading over to Indiana is it? Dont want to underestimate the impact of jet lag on performance although I suppose for youngsters matters less. Good variety of competition though so hopefully the team will start to pick up some of the cohesion totally missing against Wrexham.
July 26, 2024Jul 26 I know America is huge but surprised to see it's apparently a flight of just over 8 hours from Santa Clara CA to Notre Dame IA. That said they will have had time to rest up a bit since the Wrexham game hopefully. I have to question the whole idea of tours like this though, is it purely about money ( judging by the sparse crowd at Santa Clara I somehow doubt it ) or just a way of promoting to a wider potential audience ? Whatever the reason it doesn't seem to be a particularly good idea but what do I know ? At least this game is on at a reasonable time for those of us in the UK so I will be watching.

July 27, 2024Jul 27 That must be the connections if they don’t have their own charter. It’s only 5.5 hours lax to LaGuardia (New York) and much less to Chicago which seems to be the closest big airport. Plus the three hours time difference. That’s the point as an athlete you are getting very screwed up I guess. Once I went marketing in NY from Sydney. When I arrived the evening before the hotel informed me the sales desk had arranged an extra upstate early meeting so I set the clock alarm  for 6 am and crashed. The alarm went off I blearily got dressed and was about to head out when I realized the noise was a phone and what I read on the clock as 6 am was actually 12:30 am. A long time ago now but I haven’t improved unfortunately. Edited July 27, 2024Jul 27 by ozboy

All about laying the groundwork so that these clowns can, at some point soon, push through their proposal to have at least one PL game played over there each season.
July 27, 2024Jul 27 Match Day! Come On Chelsea!! Please beat this lot, so I can have a quiet week at work (up here in the West of Scotland) next week. A few in my work are Celtic supporters!

Still I expect and require a far better performance than the last load of cobblers.

We definitely have to put in a much better performance individually and collectively against Celtic than we did against Wrexham.

It's about both money and exposure for the brand. In all likelihood there are financial guarantees from the games' promoters so crowd size is less important.
July 27, 2024Jul 27 Anyone got an idea how to watch the game? It says in the app that "due to broadcast licensing restrictions this stream is not available in your location." When I check more information about it it says this game is not available in US or UK.. fine..I don't live in either of them....
