West Ham v Chelsea (PL) Sat 11th Feb 2023 12:30 GMT

Featured Replies

Never going to happen but maybe, just maybe, this side may give us some entertainment:

Kepa

James

Silva

Badiashile

Cucurella

Chalobah

Madueke

Enzo

Mudryk

Felix

DD Fofana

Chalobah is DM, and a good one at that, as well as a CB, he spent plenty of time on loan playing as a DM, use him there and free Enzo to create FFS!

Only 60 minutes for James, 45 minutes off the bench for Ben Chilwell.

This is what I came here to say.  I still think Chilly is a bit from starting though, so we should expect Cucu (I thought James was understandably rusty as well).  We need to get both Reece and Chilwell up to match speed though.

As bad as we have been, basmatiRice is barely managing to keep above relegation but no doubt Potter will say that it's hard to win away.

Hard for us to win at home too.

Wait, what!? Is he not a Chelsea supporter? Shouldn’t he be celebrating in a pub with the game on the screen?

For Potter’s sake we need to see a massive improvement.

West Ham given Newcastle a better game than Fulham did so far so yes, a massive improvement, but for our sakes more so than Potters. Our amazing away fans deserve so much better than the tripe they have been served.

I would go with 5 at the back with Reece and Chilwell as wing backs as I think they are best in that role.

Probably something like this:

Kepa

-

Reece

Chalobah

Thiago

Badiashile

Chilwell

-

Enzo

Kova (If fit)

-

Felix

Mudryk

Fofana

Sign such a talented player as Enzo and ask him to be our deepest midfielder....like signing Messi and asking him to be a left winger in a 442 just cause he can play there...but this is from the mind that brought you Sterling the wingback so there it is lol.

Another point for the taking there. WestHam will lift against us, and as people said their performance against Newcastle was better than ours, even the circustance was a bit different. Felix will bring the much required guile and creativity, and hopefully Potter could play both James and Chiwell in this game. Liverpool and Villa did us favourites last night, somehow we made up 1 place in the table despite the draw. On the other hand, unless we put a few wins together, even top 6 could be out of reach soon.

I was going to say this is too many players because my brain automatically reads DD as Didier Drogba but luckily it clicked after probably way too long.

With Kante, Kovacic, or Zakaria next to Enzo we won't be seeing what we saw against Fulham. It will very much be 2 CMs.

With Zakaria or Kante I agree with you, not with Kovacic. He for me is just a more refind Gallagher, his nature impulse is always to go forward which will leave Enzo carrying the defensive side of things.

I really don't understand why Potter is willing to play Havertz as a CF and Sterling as a wingback, but won't play Trev in a position that is natural to him and frees a player like Enzo to create more for us.

Can be said the same with Zakaria and Kante tbf. None of them are traditional DMs in the sense they will sit and protect the back line. I'm also still not entirely sure that is what we need vs having two CMs that both are defensively strong and have a technical element to their game.
