February 10, 20233 yr From Potter's press conference, it sounds like Zakaria and Wes Fofana are not quite there yet, Sterling has had a set back, and is doubtful, as is Kovacic,
February 10, 20233 yr It really is comical listening to Liverpool fans and their "midfield crises". If I were Vivell I'd be looking to clear all them out.

Hopefully the return of Felix and Sterling, and a clean bill of health for Mudryk will help enable that, assuming Potter starts all of them. Team I would like to see: Won’t be surprised if Koulibaly comes in for one of the CB’s with the Dortmund game midweek.
February 10, 20233 yr With all of our signings, it would be really exciting to watch Chelsea. But then you realise that we’ve got Graham Potter managing us and his zero shots approach.

So I don't expect them to be easy. My West Ham work colleague reckoned that was their best performance in over two months. An outlier
February 10, 20233 yr I would take a point now if offered, but preferably at least two all to show we can start scoring goals.
February 10, 20233 yr Can see a 1-1 here. We don’t really know how to win and the team is so new. They always raise their game. result aside, I’m looking for us to bring more to this match. We need to show collective improvement each week. Also looking for braver team selection choices from Potter (potentially dropping Mount and Havertz to bench, and assuming Ziyech can watch from home).
February 10, 20233 yr I honestly see a draw as the most likely result, unless a belter from James or Felix create enough clear cut chances for our forwards to tap them in. Having so many new players is creating more issues than good right now, Potter has to find the best team as well as be aware everyone get a piece of the actions.

Newcastle couldn't beat West Ham at home last weekend & Newcastle are currently better than us! Liverpool (on our level) got thrashed by relegation threatened Wolves, Arsenal (best team in England) lost to Everton. Go into ANY Premier League game thinking you just have to turn up to win and you will lose.
February 10, 20233 yr IMO we have to get a win here, it’s been far too long since we’ve won and it’s starting to become a habit. We need to win more games, end of. If I was the manager I’d leave Mount out for this one, he needs a break and with all the attention on him, I think it’d do him good to sit this one out. Looking forward to seeing more of Felix.
February 11, 20233 yr Got it recording not getting up 4.30 am to be disappointed once again, I'll rise at my leisure implement a media blackout and get on it at a civilized hour Reckon a draw if we are lucky as always a hard place to go, the form book goes out the window bc they treat it like a cup final, they or we usually nick it by a solitary goal

Look at Everton - Soon as Frank was out the door - The players gave it 110% and they got 3 points off Man City.

February 11, 20233 yr Author West Ham have lost four of the past five league meetings. The exception was a 3-2 victory at London Stadium last season, meaning the Hammers can earn successive Premier League home wins against Chelsea for the first time in 20 years. Chelsea could become the first visiting team to win five matches at London Stadium in all competitions. They and Southampton have earned four victories at the stadium. There have been seven winning goals scored in the final five minutes of Premier League meetings between West Ham and Chelsea, more than any other fixture in the competition and including each of the last three encounters. Chelsea have gone seven successive away games without a win in all competitions for the first time in 12 years. They haven't fared worse since a winless streak of 17 matches from April 2000 to January 2001. The Blues have only managed nine goals in their 11 top-flight away fixtures this season. In 2021-22, they equalled the club Premier League record of 39 away goals in a single campaign. They can go three league games in a row without scoring for the first time since a run of four in September 2007. Chelsea have used the most players in the Premier League this season, equalling the club record of 32 set in 1992-93. Graham Potter's 64 changes to the starting XI in his first 15 Chelsea matches is more than any other manager in Premier League history bar predecessor Thomas Tuchel, who made 66. Potter was unbeaten in all six Premier League fixtures as Brighton manager versus David Moyes' West Ham, including a 2-0 victory at London Stadium in August this season.
February 11, 20233 yr I guess something like this. I think if we are to get the best out of Havertz and Félix they need to be paired as more or less a front two. With Mount rested, we would need an actual #6 next to Fernández. The full-backs should alternated/substituted based on fitness (although I would like to see both James and Chilwell get at least half an hour each). If James starts I would sub in Azpilicueta, but if Potter wants to bring James off the bench I'd start with Chalobah at right-back. -------------------------Kepa James/---------Silva------------Badiashile-------Chilwell/ Chalobah------------------------------------------Hall ---------------Fernández--------Kovačić ---Sterling------------------------------------Mudryk ----------------------------Félix ----------------------Havertz
