Following the midweek win, the next two games look pretty vital to me. Both easily winnable games, but with the trough we have been in, we can just as easily lose both.
If we can win both, against Fulham and Burnley, and actually start to play with some confidence, maybe get through a game without a serious injury, this will lead us into the International break with a bit of a following wind. We could then try to punch our weight through the next group of games, probably losing most but if we get a win over Brentford, maybe a draw or two as well, we could then come out of that with Everton, Sheff Utd and Wolves leading up to Christmas, which isn't too sad.
Get poor results in the next two and lose what littel confidenec gained from midweek, we could come out of the International break with our chins on the floor to face 7 tough league games whcih could pitch us in or around the bottom three.
Fulham and Burnely could be massive for our season tbh.

Then why 'should' he get sacked?  History proove's that sacking managers every 3 months does NOT save football clubs.  We shouldn't have sacked Tuchel but we did, we shouldn't have sacked Potter but we did, Frank was just interim but the point is not Tuchel, not Potter, not Frank and so far not Poch have turned us back into a top 4 team so why on earth should we think that ANY OTHER manager would!
The reality is that when Abramovich was FORCED to sell the club the club had to start again from scratch, and starting from scratch means you don't get immediate rewards.  Brighton have been steadily building for TWENTY years to get to where they are today, the fact that we are not starting from as low a point as they started (they really did start from scratch) means that hopefully we won't have to wait 20 years to compete again - blaming and then sacking Poch just means going straight back to square 1 again!
Poch IS a good manager, our young signings ARE full of potential - GIVE POCH TIME and he will get a tune out of them.  Our days of fighting for the league may be over for the foreseeable future but I can see us challenging for European places again within the next few years (tall order for this season mind).  Until we get there I just wan't to see us slowly improve as time goes by.

Its still a bit 'raw' to admit it but Brighton ARE a much better team than us.........CURRENTLY, so I think we can all go to bed feeling pleased (for the first time in a LONG while).  They out possessed us and shaded the shots at goal BUT they ARE a good team, the fact that they didn't 'bury' us like they did last season has to be a sign of improvement doesn't it?
Perhaps (just perhaps) this is the equivalent game to the game under Hoddle v Newcastle in season 93/94 which was a 'turning point' for this club.  I was lucky enough to be there that day and although Newcastle (who were fighting at the top of the table back then) dominated the possession there was 'something' different about us, a 'new' way of playing, a bit more steel, a 1-0 victory that put us on a path of improvement - well I hope it is the equivalent anyway! 🙂
ALL clubs find Brighton a tough nut to crack so we have to be pleased with the performance as well as the result today.

To me the main point is that despite Brighton being a good team scoring lots of goals we didnt conced without Silva.
this clearly points to the way forward.

It’s ironic fans moaned about squad refresh then gets squad refresh then moans refresh is the worst they have seen now want another refresh.🤣🤣
Be careful what you wish for.

I don't think we've been great but considering the opposition we've been alright. When I think about how badly we got outplayed last season twice against Brighton it's been an improvement. If it wasn't for Sanchez being on LSD they wouldn't have had a sniff on goal all game. Unfortunately we have the same problem up top, surely Broja even with one leg would be an improvement on Jackson

I feel like I'm going crazy based on the comments on here because I didn't think we played that badly.

I hate to say it but I fear you are right!  There seems to be some 'hope' running through some of us but lets get real here, we ARE currently THE worst team in the division, possibly with the exception of Southampton though personally I believe we are worse than them.  Are we to believe that Pochettino will get this lot back to 'top 4?  No chance!  Personally I think that if we can avoid a relegation dogfight next year then we have done well, and I'm not even joking!  I am an old fella and I was a very young man the last time we were this p*ss poor.

A team that has underperformed all season, causing the sacking of 2 managers.
    Common denominator is the squad.
People have cried  and cried on here about Tuchel, Potter, ffs Bruno got one game and was rinsed, Lampard is just joining the queue.
Bringing another manager in will do nothing with this group, no backbone, no balls, limited quality, blame the manager.

I wonder if Mr 'TImesuppotter' is still pleased we ditched Potter!?  At least Potter had us competing and (occasionally) winning! 😄 In fact when you watch us now it makes me wonder if Potter was an actual miracle worker getting results out of this shower of sh*te!
