  1. Perhaps because we were turned around overnight when Tuchel replaced Lampard? Proving its absolutely possible to do so. And comparing Potter honeymoon period to Tuchels problems at the end is hardly a glowing compliment too Potter is it? Compare them both at the beginning of their reign and there is obviously no comparison.
  2. Tuchel made his fair share of mistakes too. He also turned us into a bloody great team for a while. At least there was a bit of a balance with him with at most 1 winger at wingback. Potter is consistently going with 2 and we are consistently getting exposed and he's not doing anything about it. And he's turning us into a bit of a laughing stock at this rate.
  3. It's not just today is it? He's genuinely tried to turn Sterling into a bloody wingback. He's persisting with some quasi back three with more gaps and space than the Titanic in its current state and today he essentially gave Brighton instructions and an open invitation to beat us with those tactics. Perhaps i'm wrong but you often get a gutfeeling about managers very quick. You get a sense that a manager can achieve great things with us and we have had a few of those. Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel etc you could feel that they would do great things right from the start. My feeling with Potter is that he's going to drag us down to mediocrity in no time. People should go and have a look behind the results at Brighton last season. For 75% of the season they were crap but the season was saved by a purple patch at the start of the season and again at the end. For a 25 game period in the middle he won three games and had them just above the relegation zone for a long time.
  4. One quick glance behind the results and that's where the real horrors are. Because you can argue he's been outsmarted by every PL manager he's faced so far. Vieira, Gerrard, Frank, Ten Hag and De Zerbi. Wolves we did well against but they had to coach at the time. It's not exactly Potter who gets the credit for our first loss coming today. This was coming from a mile off and we have been extremely lucky in the league under him so far. Just the formation and dispositions he's making suggest he's way out of his depth. Todays 3-3-3-1 from the start was one of the most baffling decisions I can remember from any manager. Doesn't seem to be learning either and it's not surprise most seem to be turning on him already. He's making a fool of himself.
  5. Many of these players are European Champions. Almost all of them were part of beating Real Madrid at the Bernabeu a few months ago and the same group of players got to two domestic cup finals and were unfortunate to lose on penalties in both. Squad have some weaknesses. But Potter is making these players look so much worse than they are. There is absolutely zero excuses for what he's doing.
  6. Turned the fanbase against him in record time and he can only blame himself. He's way out of his depth. Clear as day. The way he started the game today - literally never seen such stupid tactics in my life. Had we had 60 days free return i'd send him back where he came from.
  7. If we sack the coach we might. No chance whatsoever with Potter.
  8. Never seen a manager so out of their depth in my life. Moyes at United comes close I guess but even he's a superior manager to Potter.
  9. Three defenders that have to do the job of 4 defenders and there is space every f**king where. This is absolute shambles from the coach.
  10. This is a disgrace. And YOU are a disgrace Graham. This is the most backwards tactics i've ever seen in my long life. Absolute disgrace. If i see this one more time i'll want you to f**k off.
  11. Surprise surprise. This 3331 is f**king bullsh*t. Kindergarden tactics.
  12. Shocker. Potter f**king it up again with this absymal team.
  13. Agreed. Clearly, it’s still early days but the chopping and changing is not going to help him at this level. At Brighton you can get away with it. You can also get away with this kind of a run with 3 wins in 25 league games which happened last year at Brighton.
  14. That's just common sense to not want that. We have perfectly adequate wingbacks that can play there if Potter wants to go with the back five. I may be wrong here and I will hold my hands up and be happy about it if i am. But i think we will be much better of in the long term if Potter stopped tinkering with the formation and stopped using players in wrong positions. To become an actual top team i think you need to create a side that is extremely drilled in one system. Players get to know their role and what they need to do and then they start to build chemistry and patterns both offensively and defensively and we will be better of because of it. Thats in many ways of Tuchel took a squad that was miles off being the best in Europe and made us Champions of Europe and i think Potter will be much better of if he tries to do the same. In addition to this I would like us to press more and higher than we have seen so far. Our squad isn't perfect in any way but if its built for anything it's built for pressing high as one solid unit in my opinion. In the league especially that's something Potter have failed at so far which led to us being dominated by Villa and Brentford and for at least one half against United at Stamford Bridge. We have become far too deep far too often and whats worse is that we have struggled to be solid and compact when deep as well and it goes without a saying that, thats a major problem.
  15. Repeating a lot of the same mistakes his predecessor was heavily criticized for so it shouldn't really come as a surprise. If anything Potter is doing more of it. There is more tinkering and more players in wrong positions and the football is largely still dull. Certainly in the league where we struggle to even muster up a shot on target. In the league he's had lucky breaks all over the place with Kepa being otherwordly. Won 3/5 but the only one we actually deserved to win was Wolverhampton.
  16. Really winding me up. He's got to start way, way, way to deep. We are talking 60 yards from the opponents goal when he gets the ball and he's being completely wasted. He doesn't even have anyone overlapping him so there is basically no room for him to work unless he can somehow dribble three opponents and that will never happen. Decent game but I think we lose against Brighton if we play like this. There was always space down Pulisic's and Sterling's side and a better side would have exposed it more often. They did once when they scored and most of their chances came down the flanks as well.
  17. Realize i could come across as disrespectful here so apologies for that. It does seem like Jorginho gets on your nerves in a particular way though since you obviously can't help to blame him for seemingly all our problems and that is weird. Debates are pointless when people are barricaded behind their stances though so won't get into it more with you. In my opinion. Very good role player for when we want control and did well in second half yesterday. Liability in other games and seeing how Potter got us playing I think Jorginho will struggle like many others. @just
  18. Unfortunately that's not me. Good poster though from what i have seen. Not getting into a jorginho debate with you. You obviously have an unhealthy obsession with the guy judging from how much you focus in on just him. You literally come off as someone who would accept any loss as long as Jorginho is on the pitch so that you could blame him for everything under the sun and keep your agenda going. Unless you are 13 years old it's genuinely pathetic mate.
  19. I agree with you. I was trying to prove that just there who's obviously obsessed with Jorginho is full of crap.
  20. There was a guy in the match thread yesterday who were genuinely worried he would slot away the penalty so people would forget about the performance. There is clearly some unhealthy mental obsession going on with some. Potter have praised him to the hilts and want to extend him. Enough said.
  21. And yet our genius coach keeps playing him? You can claim Jorginho is sh*t but then the head coach is even sh*ttier for persisting with him surely? For 96 minutes yesterday with options on the bench. Or for this absymal f**king football he's got us playing. Took 20 years but we got a new Tinkerman.
  22. It's of course quality that matters but the man is quite obviously making junior mistakes every single game so where is the quality? Brighton is the club where you get away with that, here you don't. We genuinely look like crap. Compare this to how we looked one year ago and it's crazy how much we have regressed.
  23. We pressed our way to the Champions League with Jorginho as a starter. You are way off. Potter can't organize us. Thats the obvious issue.
  24. You don't actually believe its all in the formation do you? Thats what matters the least. Its what you do within your framework that matters and we were the best pressers in the f**king game back then with TT. Potter seemingly can't organize a press to save his life. We are disjointed, we don't press as a unit so there is massive gaps between attack and our deep sitting defence so teams carve through us. First half today was one of the most pathethic things i've ever seen at the Bridge.
  25. How is the lad supposed to perform when he's a LWB one week, RWB one week, RW another and then LW another? Potter is f**king this up. He's got no time to build patterns and chemistry with his fellow attackers because he's literally being played all over the place. Including f**king defence. Atrocious from the manager and there are obvious signs he's way out of his depth already. He's made us worse, not at all better.
