Sterling at RWB is a bit of a joke of a decision, let's be honet.

So the team was correct then.

Not guess work. Hearing the team is Kepa, Cucu, Silva, Chalo, Chilwell, RLC, Kova, Sterling, Mount, Havertz, Auba. Team is set long before the annoucement is made and things leak all the time.

Looks like Sterling starts at RWB. Not sure that is a good idea personally but we'll find out.

Reece James
Potter will be tested now if James is out for months. We had to deal with similar issues last season but thankfully managed Top 4. Potter needs to find a way to do the same.

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
Think this is something that will serve us well against lesser sides but the not so much against the best teams. It's a more basic style of football and easier for the players to execute you could say but one could argue it is a bit of a step back and brings us back to the more defensive styles of Mourinho and Conte.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
This reminds me of those "Pason Pount" lowlifes, douchebags, pricks, take your pick on Twitter.

I don't disagree with that. Hopefully he keeps up the good work. Certainly got my full support.

He's switched it up a bit but yesterday it certainly was. Or did you see it some other way?

Pretty similar in my opinion but we can disagree on that. Potter is doing well though so thats good. But we are in the honeymoon period and I doubt supporters will be so keen to look through their fingers about a back five with two DM's and wingers at wingback when the first poor games and losses come around.

I lurked for a while before signing up and Tuchel got plenty of criticism for both formation and also some of the dispositions that Potter have made. For example with wingers at wingback that was some great sin according to many when he did it.

I am worried about his ACL there. Hyperextended his knee and that's always terrible.

Midfields been bloody brilliant today. Mount and Jorginho in particular.

N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!
You feel bad saying it but overall Kante has probably held us back the last several years despite his unquestionable quality. Because we have rather naively counted on him to stay fit and pretended we can depend on him in midfield when we shouldn't have. The CL run and the occasional top performance is the saving grace of the latter half of his career at this club. Otherwise it's been the story of Kante either being injured or coming back from injury and trying to regain his form.

We've got a new Kepa
Without a doubt his place to lose. I think Mendy would have f**ked up at least one of those situations Kepa had to deal with, with his feet yesterday.

No doubt a promising performance. First real test is still to come for Potter though and thats when we'll get some real answers. Today it was almost a carbon copy of when things were flowing nicely for TT. Similar dispositions as well with one winger at wingback and CBs being part of how we attack.

Koulibaly is a lot better in the middle compared to one of the sides at the back.

Pulisic! Certainly don't get the hate for him today. Think he's been dangerous all game and that was a brilliant finish.

Nunes is class. We should keep an eye on him for the future.

That goes without saying. That was our entire problem with TT, the basic structure was in place but we just didn't have the players to execute. Those problems still remain as we saw against Palace. That was every bit as much sidways and backwards as we experience with Tuchel.

We were 14 points behind them when Tuchel started. So we almost kept up with their pace in the league while beating the best sides in Europe on our way to the title. You can make a great f**king case for us being the best side in Europe in 2021.
-
Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
Why would that be a joke? We were the best team in Europe in 2021. We aren't anywhere near that level now.

It's a step back though. Unless you can control the possession and thus the games you will not be competing for the biggest trophies in this day and age. That's how we won the Champions League in '21 and that's why Manchester City are so utterly dominant. Despite the good result I think the '21 version of our side would have trashed us yesterday if we were facing eachother.
