First team OUT: Ziyech, Chalobah, Koulibaly, Gallagher, Mount, Azpi, Mendy, Ruben, Auba, Pulisic, Broja loaned players OUT: Hudson-Odoi, Ampadu, Rahman, Simons, Vale, Wady, Cumming, Sarr, Lukaku, Bakayoko if we're smart, can get about 300m for all of these. Few academy players in there as well which will help massively with FFP

those wages (and previous wages) that were given out last summer and before then, are of the old regime and done with no sense. If you noticed, since vivell and winstantley have come in for the jan transfer window, the level of player we go for is so much higher in the technical department, and also the contracts we give out to them are of the new system. All of them, even Enzo are on low base wages (I believe enzo is on about 150k a week which for a 100m signing is very low btw) but they have performance based bonuses that will make it go higher. Mudryk another example, is on about 100k a week base wage. Knowing this new information, what on earth makes you think mount is worth anywhere near the 240k a week he demands?

Where's the soft spot for Reece James? Or does that not count because of a certain differentiating factor? Cobham in general, has been pretty overrated for several years now anyway, rarely do you get a player that comes through thats first XI quality (James being the exception)

those sort of popularity contest awards are only ever voted for by the certain sectionn of the fanbase that seems to love him so much. Its quite clear that mount wasn't near the level of Reece James (despite injury) or even Silva, but he'd stilll win the award because of certain people's quite odd obsession with him.

you use words like "dominating" way too flippantly. I wouldnt say he was dominating in any of those appearances, but despite getting a goal or assist here and there, i wouldnt say his overall performance over 90 minutes was anything special, outside of his usual pressing and work rate related metrics. I just dont see where he fits into the team, and especially for the wages that he wants. Reece James is definitely worth the 250k hes on, but Mount is nowhere near that imho

do whatever we can to get him signed, looks a great player. If southampton get relegated as well, he'd be even cheaper
