  1. You make a good point Lady Diehard. At this stage, you need to choose the lesser of the two evils. Even though ManUre deserve it more, I can't stand all the fake supporters that buy the shirt, and only know that Beckham doesn't play for them because they own a Real Madrid shirt with Beckham's name on it, spewing their b*llox at me because their team won the 'UEFA tournament' and the 'EPL' and mine didn't. If they win the FA Cup too, well, I don't even know what to think. I guess geography (I live in Canada) comes into play here too, but deserve it or not, the thought of a ManUre double/treble is sickening.
  2. You're being ridiculous Lady Diehard, don't worry. Both manager have unattractive longball tactics, but only one has a slew of trophies to his name. Thankfully. Assuming Jose is willing to make some changes, and takes some responsibility I am confident that he will be staying. If not... Well, wno knows then.
  3. Its not so secret that Roman wants to win the Champions League very badly, so I won't be surprised either. I will be disappointed, despite how I feel about our longball tactics, however, and hope it is not so.
  4. I agree with G4. Only Drogba can truly thrive with our style of play. Others would benefit from some more attractive, and in this case it would also be more effective, football. Something for Jose to consider for next season, assuming he is still here. As big of a disappointment as today is, this ugly football letting us down is not a one-time occurence. Its been happening for too long, and with our team we can go better. We should be doing better. I feel shell-shocked, but at the same time I feel like I should have seen it coming. Let's hope we learn from this now.
  5. Good point Mod. Sure the penalties rubbish, but all could have been avoided with one goal. As tempting as it is to blame Jose for all that stuff, it didn't have to come to that. The second it was sure that it would go into penalties, I knew it was over. Chelsea - an English team.. Liverpool - a Spanish team exiled in England ... Don't bet on the English team winning on penalties. History proves that much.
  6. Even though I know a lot more Scousers, I would be a lot less bothered if the silverware is dispersed amongst the teams. The thought of ManUre with the double, let alone the treble, make me want to vomit.
  7. Me neither. I hope Milan takes it all. The way I feel now, I would rather have my eyes ripped out with a fork than watch Liverpool or the Mancs win it again. Sorry to be so graphic. Keep the blue flag flying high! On to Wembley it is.
  8. I can't believe that happened. How could someone who so clearly does not want to be near the ball, let alone take the first penalty, be going first? ANd how can Jose, who is a master manager and tactician, choose an order that almost every single person has agreed was a horrible decision. Sure we have the benefit of hindsight now, but even at that moment it was clear as day that Robben was not to go first. What a day, what a match. Absolutely gutted. Definitely will be for days.
  9. Well said L&P! Win or lose, I love Chelsea. I don't love a lot things about it at the moment, but at the end of the day I'm a Chelsea supporter through and through, and nothing can change that. The pain, the tears, the frustration... they're what make the payoff that much better in the end when we do succeed. Whether the success is winning the Champions League or escaping relegation, I will be there supporting on the team that I love... Even when it feels like the team doesn't love me.
  10. I agree with Lofty, this could work to our advantage. It is unfortunate timing, since we have such a congestion of fixtures and he is doing a little better, but him out will open up some room for other players, (like attacking players! We can have wingers now..) A shame, but I would rather have him out than a lot of other players.
  11. Sure, there may be hope when it comes to the mathematics.. But being realistic, its all over. We don't deserve the title, we won't get it. Fair enough. Let's hope all is not lost in the FA Cup and Champions League now.
  12. The news about Ricky is like kicking us while we're down. There goes the title, and possibly the Champions League too. Horrible referee, unfortunate halftime substitutions, but in the end, it was our fault. Not a game to be proud of. Let's hope we don't officially lose the title at the Bridge against the Mancs now.
  13. He took part in today's training session - so he will probably be back soon, at least off the bench!
  14. Well, now we know where Jose got his influence for his haircut in the beginning of the season - Macchiavelli!
  15. Maka in for sure. Without question. Definitely Bridge over Cole. The Champion's League is Sheva's competition, but not at this form.. So I would start him I guess, but substitute for Kalou sooner than today, if he plays like this again. I agree about Essien for RB, he is massive in that position. I guess Ballack should be included back in the team... But I would be okay if Mikel was played, as long as Makelele doesn't lose his spot.
