  1. Pitch perfect 🙂
  2. Admit it, you had to hold a candle beneath the post to finally see it. 😉 Anytime you want to talk about the team, feel free to stop engaging in posts talking about me.
  3. I can see you are well versed in coming second. Have a good day 😉
  4. "2nd wins you nothing" You have my sympathies. You have obviously spent years in despair. Balance in life helps. I'm no expert so I won't charge for the advice, but I would suggest you spread you interests a little wider, and actually enjoy them warts and all. It's the best prescription I can offer.
  5. LOL. And what a great school it is. Can you even spell ad hominem? PS. It's Beard, just plain Beard. Time's up Potter is not a line that you would have ever have heard from me That much should be obvious from the way I talk about our team.
  6. Well, it has been a long time since we looked stable in such a position at the top end of the league, so yeah 15th century. It maybe a little hyperbolic. You got a century you prefer? Of course I do not think we are there because of Sanchez, we are there because a team is finally being forged from an extremely large group of very young guys. Team dynamics, are about more than individual skill, and it is the managers job to create that dynamic. We are second Because it is clear Maresca knows what he is doing. I'm happy with that, we are making clear headway, and I have no intention of being negative about it. I watch the same match as you, I'm probably lucky that I don't have to watch it worrying about how my fantasy football team is performing, or how large a part the team plays in my own personal self esteem. You win some you lose some, it's a healthy attitude to have. But I do like to have a team I know the names of. I do like continuity, and I do like that players are being given time to grow into the position they are being entrusted with. Sanchez has his faults, and still we are second and looking the part. Lighten up. Support your team! PS. The ony stat I really care about is the one that shows me where the team is positioned in. the table. PSS.I joined a few weeks back and posted only a few posts because I was extremely busy. Uniucky for you I am now free until the new year. 😉
  7. LOL. A team with ambitions, a team 2nd in the league for the first time since the 15th century, and a team you dont even support.................can we please make sure only Chelsea fans apply to post here. cheers. PS. A reminder that other than Liverpool (11) and Arsenal (15) Chelsea and Notts forest (18) ,every other team has let in more goals. It's not a perfect way to judge a keeper, but then if you're the kind of 'fan' who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing, have at it. Maybe Sanchez would perform a tad better without you in the stand behind (sic) him.............
  8. The low camera angle from Palmers left is the one to watch on both pens. Check his eyes on each one, glancing the same way each time - right hand corner. Fooled the keeper once and then panenka'd him, guessing correctly that the keeper wouldn't be fooled twice...............LOL.
  9. Do we really have that many Tottenham fans living in this forum in disguise? 🙂
  10. He had every awareness that Solanke was there, but in the last second, as the cross came in, Solanke was where he should never have been allowed to go by Colwill. Watch again, you will see Sanchez clock his defender and Soloankes run,, he then looks to Johnson, and as the cross comes on dives directly to where Solanke should be if Colwill had defended correctly
  11. If Sanchez is focusing on Solanke, who he can't see in the last seconds because he is now crossing over behind Colwill, then he isn't looking at Johnson who may do anything at all. Johnson has the ball, Sanchez needs to see what is happening to the ball. His CB should have him covered for a near side cross, and know where the attackers are in relation to himself. Colwill doesn't, he lost Solanke by running ahead of him, instead of keeping abreast of him, and keeping him to the far side of the cross. Sanchez didn't dive that way because of a glitch in the matrix, he dived to where Solanke should have been kept. He wasn't . Don't be fooled by camera angles. Sanchez doesn't have them. He has one set of eyes about 6 feet up with a 140 dcegree view of the scene around him, off which only about 1% is in full focus. Unlike the armchair civilians, watching multi angle slow motion clips, while calling Sanchez an ass.
  12. No one saw Solanke. Colwill thought Solanke was to his left and behind him, Sanchez also looked and saw Colwill had Solanke on his left and then looked to see what Johnson was going to do, but Solanke cuts to the right from behind Colwill at the last second, catching both him and Sanchez off guard. Sanchez dives to cover the area he thought Solanke was in, while assuming Colwill would actually deal with the cross . From Johnson b beginning his shooting stride, and swinging his leg to cross, up until the ball was in the net, was less than 2 seconds. Second goal, Kulesevski shapes to shoot left across the defence, which should really be his only shot with three defenders in front and right of him, but he cleverly shoots right, through the defender's legs, and leaves Sanchez grasping. Thank God we have a manager from the football world in charge of our football team. If he thinks Sanchez is his man, good on him for ignoring lippy civilians. 😉
  13. Astana, a very modern city designed by an architect in Japan, and an amazing place to visit. Unfortunately the team was completely designed and built in Kazakhstan, and not so great. 0-4
  14. We never go away. We were just....resting.
  15. Statement from some ex Liverpool bloke named Carragher, on BBC feed..........What they [Chelsea] are doing this season is something that was totally unexpected from a lot of us, myself included. I thought they'd be in a serious fight for Champions League positions. I think that man [Enzo Maresca] probably felt the same but right now this club are right in the mix for a title challenge." I bet that hurt
  16. There is always a last minute Song from the condemned. I said 3-5. Expect us to score again in 10..9...8...................Damn! It ended while I was typing. Not watching with you terrified lot again. Sheesh. 😉
  17. Hmm. Getting better. I said 1-4 and then 3-5 after they accidently scored in the first 20 minutes. What a great game, and thanks Maresca for not listing to this bunch of surrender monkeys, and keeping Palmer on!
  18. Would have been offside. so it was defensive skill from us. Anyone can get in with an unfair advantage....... `and he missed
  19. PS 2-2. this was supposed to be an answer to someone. Don't know how it got here, but ya boo shucks. have some belief, dudes!!!!
  20. I`m right here. Actually sitting ON my sofa and watching, not listening from behind my sofa! 3-5 Chelsea, 'cos optimism is proven to capable of travelling great distances and affecting outcomes. Get a grip. two Cucu pfaff ups doesn't make us suddenly rubbish, and I don't do FPL so I live and watch football in the real world, without fantasy considerations.
  21. No nails left but I'm loving this. It's a serious fairground ride, and slowly but surely we are looking the team to score next. Revised prediction 3-5 Chels.
  22. Tonight I am predicting that everyone living to the left of me will be deep in sorrow, although the days I look forward the most, are the days when everyone that lives to the right of me is deep in sorrow. I live exactly half way between White Hart Lane, and The Emirates. it's gonna be a tough test for us, in the same way that it is tough playing in the Carabao Cup on a stormy mid winter night in Sc**thorpe. Do these young lads have the character as well as the skill? I am still going for 1-4, but I'll take offers on other winning combinations..............let's get it on already!! PS. Gotta laugh at the online censor, it keeps removing two letters from the name of that town. I can't imagine what it is thinking 🙂
  23. I didn't pass on Drogba, he is stil on my study wall, and I need no reminding of how he played, or if he played, in each of the seasons he played for us, as I was generally there to see it. Try actually reading the post you were commenting on in its entirety and understand it in the way it was intended. I would also suggest that you left out at least ten other players that were the main reason we won the EPL in his first season. They were all brilliant under a. brilliant manager. Jose. Which makes you...... whatever you are! 😉 Remember, we are only talking about each player's first two seasons at Chelsea! If we now go on a winning spree for the next few seasons, and Jackson scoring and assists continue to improve, you will look back at his career with us as if you never had a doubt in your mind about his place as a great Chelsea player..............
  24. "You only sing when we're winning, you only sing when we're winning, you only sing when we're winning................. Sanchez GK, Manager Maresca, 2nd in the league. It's tough being a fan. You'll get there........... 😉
