Everton vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 22nd Dec 24 14:00 GMT
That was just cold. Everton employed high winds, rain, and cold......a. bit of a leveller against a team which would also have thrashed Astana.

Not affecting me either. Perfect view of the tele......the players in 40 mph winds, rain and cold, not quite so comfortable with the pretty precision play

Everton working in conjunction with the weather. A typical Northern tactic. Expect us to improve in the second half...............

A tad random? Zouma's cat was fostered out to a guy named Schrödinger, and no one is entirely sure what happened to it after that.............!

Vintage Blues pictures and film
Interesting fact. Chelsea fan and Lead singer of The Zombies, Colin Blunstone, was related to Frank Blunstone. In Colin's own words......"My father was Frank's father's cousin, and I've never quite worked out what that makes me." 😉

Billy Strings - Dust in a Baggie. Takes a sec to get to the music, but it's worth it for the sheer surprise at how good this young guy is

RL Burnside - Boogie. Just a random instrumental , but there is just something so infectious about this whole scene, that it puts an enormous smile on my face for hours.

RL Burnside - See my jumper on the Line I see Scott posted a Burnside vid here before, but the vid isn't available now.. Burnside played Hill Country Blues , with its metronomic guitar style. Interestingly he uses exactly the same guitar piece on Poor Boy a Long Way From Home.

Awesome. Loved this guy's playing.........

Marc Guiu
Watching the goals back, Giui's anticpation and pace was excellent, but the standout for me was the confidence he showed to shoot from a real tight angle and awkward distance with his second goal.

Maybe I'll read your posts in The Chelsea Liquidation thread another day. I'm sure it will make interesting reading. Just for the record, what ever wild doom laden words were being spoken here, that scenario never transpired, and that was not down to anything said or thought by fans. This is what I found bizarre, and is this what I have responded to - " Proclaiming we are in a title race takes away that enjoyment" And how do we get to be in a position to win a title.........................we engage in a process of obtaining that title, AKA a title race, which is what a competitive football league is all about every season! We happen to be engaging rather well with that process, despite so many fans finding so much wrong with the players, the manager, the tactics, and the positional choices, even as we are in second place, which is in the top four and happens to be just behind first place in a 20 team league. As for the May thing. We may beat Liverpool on the 3rd when not even in the top 4. We may beat Liverpool on the 3rd, go top, and still not be winners on the 25th. We may lose to Liverpool on the 3rd, but still be title winners on the 25th. I am sure there are other permutations, and neither you nor I have a clue as to which one may come true. Right now we are in a title race by virtue of the fact that we are right there, and that makes me feel good. EOM.

A pretentious prat and now mentally ill. Lol. Are we in a title race? If we are not, then why the hell are we all here? I'd believe we were in a title race, even if I supported Sc**thorpe. What is it with these WORDS that get's you so upset that your enjoyment of watching your own team is spoiled by someone mentioning the dreaded T word? Why are you are fan, why bother? Seriously, why bother? We are second, dude. Do you seriously want us to fail from.there? We might just do that even in a year when you finally believe in your teams abilities, but at what point do you ever enjoy the game, the team, the buzz, the highs, the lows? Apparently only at the end of the season when your bragging rights are safely confirmed, and you can enjoy your summer hols, before coming back here to moan all over again. Why should I get off the high horse? It's winter and the seat is incredibly warm from you sitting on it so long.

Go back, read the original post again In full, THEN check Deino's reaction, and my retort. You don't read the posts I make that are not in reply to another post, so I shall ignore your confirmation bias. 😉

Because I am an intolerant and irritating, die hard Chelsea fan. Why else? I am also subtle. I only make an indication of the fact that there is clearly a lot of 'plastic' in these forums without saying 'You're not a real Chelsea fan'. 😉

Random Rumours
Once you add up all the square footage of nonsense produced by the commercial rumour mills, you will find that Chelsea are monitoring anything with a pulse, and have even posted scouts at Pele's grave just in case he is resurrected.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
S.E Rogie (R.I.P)- Twist With The Morning Stars. Soolimon Earnest Rogers (Rogie). I went to a 'concert' he put on in Harlesden Library many moons ago (1991), and watched awe struck with the other 8 people in the crowd. What a wonderfully funny old guy he was, and a brilliant guitarist and singer who spent his final years raising money for school books to send home to schools in Sierra Leone.

Err, "Yourselves" That would be whom, actual Chelsea fans? So, you don't enjoy watching Chelsea because the pressure that comes from My club competing for top honours spoils it for you????? I hear West Ham, and Tottenham are looking for fans like you. I am absolutely certain that every other title contender doesn't give a damn when a canny manager or player of a team that is second in the table, and which can absorb one loss and still be second, tries to tell them they aren't really there at all, and they are just mucking around, and really only playing for the fun of it............... Read again what I wrote that caused you to react, but this time try to involve logical semantics. It's a part of linguistics that will help you to avoid a great many pratfalls in the future.........

Put all that on a white on a white flag where it belongs..................... "The manager specifically pointed it out." Oh, dear. I was gonna, but I just can't even................................AARRGGGHHHHHH!

Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea
Meldonium is a drug created and manufactured in Latvia in 1970, and was created to aid with the problem of ischemia which is an insufficient oxygen supply to the tissues. So, it is a drug that athletes use to maximise oxygen supply to their muscles which increases endurance and recuperation. It was discovered to be in widespread use at the Baku games, and was banned for use in 2016. I think the time has passed when athletes can use the Sharapova defence, which was that she had been using the drug to deal with vascular problems for ten years before the ban, and had simply not noticed that it had become prohibited. If Mykhailo took it knowingly he is definitely in trouble unless he is able to pinpoint some incident or moment when it might have been an accidental use. I hope he is able to do so, but it's a tough ask even if true, to actually prove to the satisfaction of the controlling body. Pogba got a 4 year ban for Testosterone use, which was reduced t 18. months. That makes for a precedent if Mudryk has a story he can prove to the court of Sports Arbitration. Either way it was in his system, and he will almost certainly be banned.
