Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
What's with his goal celebration? It's a pretty annoying one. No doubt him winning another world cup would make him looking down on Chelsea but the positive is he's going to garner solid interest. I forgot whether he already had a contract improvement ala palmer/jackson/caicedo, if not then it's going to boost his exit. The board totally overpaid for him so to cancel such transfer is the appropriate thing to do. His replacement shouldn't be too hard to find.

World Cup 2026
Just when I thought england might do it under the best manager they have in decades, it's still the same old story. First half seemed evenly contested, after the goal, england just park the bus. Another example why I said best defence is not by relinquishing possession inviting all sorts of pressure especially when the stake is at high, it's double the pressure. Did tuchel worry about the solorth-haland gap scenario? I suppose it's better to concede playing that way rather than what has unfolded. Btw, england's cross were dogsh*t compared to argentina's, not taking trent seems like a mistake now.

World Cup 2026
The bizarre thing is why sold him in such a hasty manner? I reckon Chelsea could have an additional 7-10 millions after word cup.. It's not like there were lack of suitors, he's already a euro winner.

World Cup 2026
It's been discussed before, tuchel messed him up.. rodri played in 3 games prior to that final and all 3 ended up in a defeat.

World Cup 2026
Battle of Wits? This example is too good to ignore. The so called pundits trying to sugarcoat it as if the stick rather than carrot that worked for bellingham. I suppose tuchel's big name reputation plays to his advantage but it can not be healthy when a manager and star player having a beef with each other. Gotta feel it for bellingham, if he plays poor, people will say that tuchel is vindicated but if he plays greatly, well it's because like what the above article is suggesting. Have to admit bellingham surprised me, I thought he's just another overhyped english player but now he seems on course to greatness since gerrard/lampard. This year will be england best chance to finally win the world cup in modern era.

Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea
Would you? Even if they do, we can't say for sure it's a bad business considering those players have drawback.

Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea
Based on his time here, he's decent, not great not poor overall, can't really say it's outright a bad business because 50mils is also decent for just decent player.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
If the board was not serious in this transfer then they didn't do a good job in their pretending play. It's easy to see sunderland won't even entertain anything less than 15 mils so 12 mils bid is a safebet.

Alejandro Garnacho
Limited talent and looks like in a permanent puberty state.. bound to fail

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
So that's you ideal way? took you long enough. Leave it to the board while they had no intention of letting him go. In that scenario of yours, maresca would have stayed. You're banking as if the board wanted to negotiate in the first place. Okay, just ask you a point blank question, no need to drag this further: Do you prefer him 'behaved' but ended up staying or did what he did that saw him gone with Chelsea getting compensation in return?

Your sequential timeline is a bit vague. According to you, the initial meeting was nothing concrete because city still had pep in mind but then when did the meeting get serious that prompted maresca to resign? It's naive to think maresca resigned on his own without the backing from city.

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
So you think he should not meet city at all and keep leading Chelsea on a winless run? because had he stayed, results unlikely to get much better. Or you think he should meet city in secret? How should the whole situation unfold ideally in your mind? Remember that you want him gone and not paying a dime. For that to happen, there is a need for a taker and the meeting needed to take place somehow somewhere. On Mutu case, wait until you found out his petulant entitled response to the fine he got saying the punishment should be just him doing a public service work in, of all places, his own country. Very convenient for him, what a genuine prick. Btw, what does mutu case have anything to do with this?

Okay, you acknowledge that tapping up is a common practice so should be no argument there, right? However, in maresca case, you deduce it's not a simple tapping up but something like just an informal way of sounding him out without any concrete promise to hire him? just very casual chit chat? It was then maresca who forced city hand by resigning so that city got scared and acted out? How maresca even dare to resign (forfeiting the money in his remaining contract and possibly penalty fine) if city never giving him assurance in the first place? It's a big amount of money involved there, I don't think he would be that bold to make such gamble. City could just back away since it's not much of a tapping up case if it's just a casual talk.

But he did get hired and results were not that good, a more competent manager would have got more out of the team so we wanted him gone but we don't want to pay.. I see city approach as the solution there but perhaps you have a better more ideal solution? Btw, what are these insults and disrespects of the club that you mentioned? was it about his 'worst 48 hours' presscon? or was it about he entertain city approach while still under contract? or something else? Do tell cause I might have missed them.

it seems like you still have feeling for her despite her shortcoming because if not then what stopping you from breaking up with her long before she cheat? A better analogy would be a husband who has been bitching his wife all the time but can't afford the divorce but when the wife found a way to grant his wish, the husband still bitching about it. Depending on where individual stand on this, your analogy is maybe true in your case and my analogy is not necessarily directed at you.

why are you bringing your dad into this? lol Okay, I'll add in your dad's time into your account for the duration being a Chelsea fan. Anyway, back on maresca, before the city approach, did you want to keep him? If yes then your outrage is understandable because sentimentally is equivalent like getting dumb in relationship. But if you already wanted him gone then how do you think it should be done ideally in your preferred way?

What is the issue for him agreeing a longer contract in the first place? Can't recall any manager who doesn't want it, longer contract means better security and the mindset for all managers is longer contract means more pay out if things don't work out. It's a pretty basic strategy for insurance. His complain about Chelsea is just an excuse used as justification for him leaving while in fact without the offer, he would have stayed. You don't actually believe if things were rosy at Chelsea then he would have rejected city, do you? I think an employee getting big headed when he got another offer on the table is pretty common thing. We can agree he doesn't deserve to demand anything based on his limited quality but he got a legit bargaining chip because if his demand is not met then he would just be somewhere else. Btw, I think that demand is smokescreen because he wanted to leave anyway. How do you reckon other managers in his position would or should do if they want to leave? You know that maresca could have played a stinker until the end of the season forcing the blueco to sack him right? It's not like he has to join city immediately, he got the time. That's why he reported the city approach and resigned is better than he keeping it quiet and play a stinker to get the sack.

Now you're actually venturing into attacking my credential as a Chelsea fan? lol says someone with garnacho as his poster name. Out of curiosity just how long have you been supporting Chelsea?

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
Nothing you mentioned warrant the outrage like you demonstrated here. His poor tactic and presscon are just indicator that he's not up to Chelsea standard. Meeting other clubs while under contract is not something new, it happens all over the places, plus if he really wants to do it in secrecy it can be easily done so that's why tapping up concept is a bit of a joke. The compensation is paid because he resigned under contract, not because of any so called sins you would like us to believe. The apology is just maresca full of himself thinking it was his departure that got Chelsea in ruin, kind of his way of hyping himself up and some of you actually buying it.
-
Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
ok, let rewinds a bit, what are his sins exactly? For not being a great coach? for wanting to leave? or simply for being baldy?
-
Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
If he's doing very well with chelsea and done that then it's understandable the anger but most of us wanted him gone even before that. Had it not him having a lil bit of backbone (money wise) to resign then you people would blame him for stinking the place. His tactic got found out, he's not wanted by the fans then what's he supposed to do? You do realize he actually didn't stink the place until he got sacked like many others would do in his position, right? And it's a surprise that you're actually buying the club statement in blaming his departure for ruining the season considering you never really rated him in the first place. If he's not that good then the sooner he goes the better don't you think? The club in ruin is mainly due the board incompetence for not replacing him correctly and sooner. The outrage towards him seems like a case when a girlfriend wanted a break up but get upset when the boyfriend beat her to it.
-
Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
Very strange and the irony to say no club wants to change its head coach midway like they have never done it toward other clubs before. It's also strange with the outrage here toward maresca considering he's not rated and many would like him gone anyway. Instead of the standard sack-payout, this time Chelsea actually got compensation. They should be happy but instead they're getting all personal over this case. I think some people just have the tendency looking something to blame to vent their anger when things went wrong but maresca is the wrong target in this case due to the fact he's not really wanted here anyway.

Granit Xhaka
If you were sunderland would you not do the same? He's their player of the year and believed to still have much to offer in their europe quest. 10 millions for EPL Club is really nothing nowadays. It just doesn't make sense for them to sell unless it's a big money but then it doesn't make sense for us if it's a big money. He needs to hand in transfer request, make enemy with the sunderland fans (like he did with arsenal fans) then maybe sunderland has a reason to sell.

Reece James
It's getting weary now with his another injury news.. he's just like ledley king. Reece James is super highly rated but that also helped by the fact that he's not playing the game regularly to be rated objectively. People tend to only remember his good games and shrugged off his poor games easily. Should have sold him for big money when madrid wanted him last time but it's too late now. Instead of selling him for cheap, it's better to keep him to play back up role as RB or CDM. He's taken a significant pay cut so we just need to adjust our expectation of him not being seen as the core player.

The standard contract is just like julian nagelsmaan one with bayern no? Instead of massive pay out outright, bayern just keep paying him until he gets a new job. By right, no manager worth his salt would take a lengthy timeout.
