What is the issue for him agreeing a longer contract in the first place? Can't recall any manager who doesn't want it, longer contract means better security and the mindset for all managers is longer contract means more pay out if things don't work out. Meeting other clubs while under contract is not something new, it happens all over the places, plus if he really wants to do it in secrecy it can be easily done so that's why tapping up concept is a bit of a joke. Very strange and the irony to say no club wants to change its head coach midway like they have never done it toward other clubs before. Reece James is super highly rated but that also helped by the fact that he's not playing the game regularly to be rated objectively. People tend to only remember his good games and shrugged off his poor games easily. Should have sold him for big money when madrid wanted him last time but it's too late now.
