How long until we hear from the Torres apologists that the rumours of Falcao are undoubtedly ruining his psyche

No it's the boards fault for giving Torres free reign over the club and basing our entire season around a player who is past his best, instead of admitting their mistake like we did with Sheva; Veron; etc.
 
If Torres was for example rested for some of our easier games which top teams usually do with their "star" players and we had Lukaku or Sturridge up top against the likes of Genk; Leicester City; QPR; Nords; Wolves; Monterrey etc his tally would be an absolute joke. The only reason he was played in such games is to inflate his tally so he gains some confidence, except it doesn't work - why because he is has not been a top striker in the last 3 years. 
 
It's frankly pathetic that I'm expected to be happy with the current situation. What's even more pathetic that after a summer in which Torres was making waves about his role demanding to  be an automatic starter in the club - you feel I have no foundation to blame him after he is failing to do his job, because other players are also struggling. Except for the fact that Hazard; Mikel; Mata; Oscar etc aren't the ones that have made PUBLIC demands about zero competition for their spots, and aren't played EVERY GAME they are available, all have been rested in certain matches.  

Spot on. Torres has consumed our entire club with the neverending will he/won't he score debate, building a team around him, shipping out almost every other senior striker to accommodate him, his piss poor return that has contributed to three managers getting the sack. Worst of all in today's match was not the miss but the moment when he just stood there statuesque near the corner flag as the Brazilian defender calmly robbed him of the ball.
 
It's been an embarrassment and a millstone around our necks since his very first match. I just want the whole sorry episode to be over now and I don't think we can move on as a club until he does.

Same here. 2 f**king years this has been going on, i'm sick and tired of it all.

How much we paid is besides the point, the board deciding this summer that after his 24 hours without a goal he is good enough to be an automatic first choice at a club which just won the CL is a joke. Literally any half decent striker would have been an upgrade including Sturridge.

I think everyone is just bored of him now, bored of the whole saga.

That's not the point, he was the one that went to our management after the CL Final demanding to be first choice. He pushed Anelka; Drogba out of the club. Due to most likely needing to play him 90 minutes every match Lukaku decided to go out on loan because he would get no chance here. Due to Torres we couldn't go after Falcao; Kun; in past years. Due to Torres we didn't sign another striker in the summer. Due to Torres Sturridge has only 200 minutes up top.

Hard to disagree Just - so much so that I can't.
I can never understand why anone would support a player before a club (we had the same on here before with Crespo_Rulz - or something like that). A person who actually followed a player from club to club and therefore disappeared from the forum once his player of choice moved on.
After experiencing Torres since he joined Chelsea I would happily swap him for John Spencer and feel we were better off.
