For me 83-84 still remains my favorite season....my 1st season of going every week with my dad....great team & kit! And the players use to come over to the benches before the game & sign stuff....loved it!

Just picked up a copy of this for £5

Think it was Would have been picked up at Toddington services? I remember being late to the game & being able to see the floodlights Same season i went to the Postponed Cup match up there & the re-arranged game...lost 2-1.

I was on that coach to Boro too!

I still have a signed photo of him.

Oxford at home we lost 1-4..Would have have gone top with a win...Remember it well as my eldest brother was a massive Oxford fan going home & away for many years...This game fell on his birthday!

Certainly mate....If i remember correctly only the 2nd half was live....I also have Man U away when Kerry Scored right at the end 2-1....Possibly at my parents because i know i would never chuck them. Cheers Jim

I actually taped the radio commentary to this game as i did with most of ours...and i prob still have it somewhere.

I remember this game,i was 11,spent the day at my Nans,remember seeing the score on the telly,am sure Grimsby were top and undefeated until this match Cheers Jim

That was it....a real stroke of luck kick-started our season.

I remember them...casual band called Accent...was indeed before an 83/84 match but i cant remember which one!

I was there,remember it well....got twated by a copper in the shed after the game.....one thing that does stand out was with around 20 mins to go a non playing Chelsea player walked over to speak to a steward at the shed end....& when people did start running onto the pitch it was from the gate of which the Chelsea player had a chat with the steward!

83-84 Season....3-2 i think,if so you were sat very close to me mate....

Met most of the team 82-90 onwards....Nicest player i ever met was Joey Jones,what a really nice guy...time for everybody.
