  1. Pah. You wouldn't have said that if we'd beaten you.
  2. Yes he was - the pic is from October 1985 - Hollins took over as manager circa July 1985. You can see it's early in his management career, he's smiling I would argue, but as it was just a wild guess (and knowing that you'd just post a random pic) I have no real idea when that photo was taken. I was trying to be clever and mess with Loz's head.
  3. You cant use that one Loz. He wasn't Chelsea manager then.
  4. Please tell me I'm not the only one who watched this and didn't groan with embarrasment all the way through. The wife and I were in hysterics at the end. Talk about presenting a professional image to the rest of the world? Imagine if you will, 2 fans up against each other. One, a fixed grin, of the trainspotter variety in his late 40s early 50s who could tell you Bobby Tambling's shoe size. The other, early 20s, nervous as f**k, only there for the dare. Both being questioned by an equally nervous presenter who hadn't learn't the rules yet and could only make eye contact with the young lad who she's arranged to meet for a drink later. I won't tell you the questions or who won in case it's repeated and you want to watch it. Trust me, its pure entertainment.
  5. Yeah, I found an old recording on Sky+ that said the date was TBC so we'll have to wait and see.
  6. OK, I found some fixtures but no mention of the Marcel game. Doh!
  7. Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere on site but I can't find it (nor can I find it on the official site). Watching Chelsea TV last night they gave the dates and fixtures of 7 pre season friendlies. The last of which was a charity game with Marcel Dessailly bringing an old boy 11 to play the current squad. Players like Robbie, Zola, Vialli and Wisey appear to be on the list. Does anyone else happen to know where and when this is occurring? I'm off for yet another look at the official site but in the meantime if anyone has the details would they post them please?
  8. Great thread. Cheered me up no end.
  9. There are 2 aspects to this, one is the reporting and therefore the publics perception of Chelsea and the second is the nurses. Firstly, in my experience so far, most people seem to sympathise with Chelsea players and don't think they've done anything wrong in exercising their right to donate to charities of their own choosing rather than one they being brow beaten into. There will always be the odd moron who chooses to believe the worst and condemn the players no matter what the issue so I'm starting to not care about this. Secondly, this perception that all nurses are angels and deserve sainthood needs quashing. I have had years of experience of hospital (as have a few of you on here) and my experience has been varied. One thing is certain, some nurses are great but unfortunately there are more that are lazy and unprofessional working on every ward. I'm sure when it comes to specialist nursing that the numbers of unprofessionals are much lower but frankly the majority in general nursing aren't all that. My wife entirely agrees so it must be true. Did I mention I married my nurse?
  10. y*ddo, y*ddo, y*ddo To be fair, he took it in good part - I'm sure he was expecting it. That's a shame, I was hoping it was something much more offensive. I can't stand the man. :)
  11. No, I think he was intending to use the dog as back up for Makalele.
  12. What were the fans chanting at Big Ears when he came out to present the award, I couldn't make it out? He wasn't amused and I was pleased to see our fans didn't lick the twat's arse.
  13. It's just you. Most people liken Katz to Westwood but personally I reckon he's a spit for Barry Proudfoot from Soccer AM. 'It's a right touch'.
  14. Oh I wouldn't write him off, he's still a decent player. I don't have the low opinion of him that some on here seem to but I just haven't seen anything of him so far to rate him above Bridge.
