Could this season be the one where Mikel and Kalou really start to impress. They have started to show that they have what it takes to play for Chelsea and I think that if they keep up their good work they could become absolutely indespensible to the club.

Great signing, a really high quality utility player, which is exactly what a team at the top needs! From what I've seen, I'd say he's a bit like Essien in the sense that he'd be wasted in the holding position. The reason Mikel's so rarely scored a goal in his Chelsea career is that he's confined by the Makelele role. If Ramires does slot in ahead of Mikel in the holding role, hopefully he'll play a bit more positive but still maintain his primary defensive duties.
