The most talented striker to come through our ranks recently. I think he's better than what our rivals have to offer...Vela...Welbeck...that's all that comes to mind at the moment. The loan was a good move on our part, he's doing great, I just hope we're not trying to put him in the shop window!!

Is Sanchez really the answer to our right wing problem? From what I've seen (not a lot) he seems to be a bag of tricks and has an abundance of pace but doesnt have a great cross or final ball. Isn't that what we already have in Kakuta?

Wouldn't mind giving Arsenal money, we know they wouldn't spend it on anything worthwhile. Nasri has the potential to be a very good player and has shown glimpses of that at the start of the season, he was one of the highest rated young attacking mids in the world before Arsenal signed him. I think he'd do very well here actually.

They need a goalscorer...straight swap with Anelka? To be honest, as talented a footballer as he is, I think as fans we can only put up with one £50m pissy, moany Spaniard!!

Centre back pairing has to be Terry and Luiz. Alex as 3rd and Bruma 4th. Alex is a top quality player, but it is just his pace that lets him down. He'd walk into the Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs teams. Not seen a huge amount of Bruma, but he has to be promising to be on the fringes of our first team. I would like to see Phil Jones of Blackburn signed...he seems very promising, only 19 and he's been playing in their first team for over a year. Could be our new Terry? Don't see Bosingwa going anywhere. Think our back line will be very much the same next year.

I don't see how we're going to let any of the above mentioned players go if I'm honest. Drogba, Anelka and Malouda. Drogba...the best striker in the world on his day. Anelka, said fairly recently that he is perfectly happy and wants to finish his career here. Malouda - scores important goals and is still a quality player. I think everyones got very excited about Roman signing younger players, but can we let any of our three main proven goalscorers go? What if Torres doesn't have the goals in him any more, Sturridge can't adapt to our style of play and Neymar (presuming he is signed) does a Robinho? We'd be royally screwed! A creative midfield player...someone like Javier Pastore, or even Van der Vaart...is the only major change I feel is going to come.

Source - Sky Sports Never heard of the kid and there's no real indication that he's even coming to us, just that we own 40% of his rights....unless I've read it wrong. BUT, if he turns out anything like some of the other Brazilian right backs, namely Dani Alves (minus the personality) or Maicon, I'd be extremely happy!!

So we signed this kid as a 17 year old from Inter Zapresic, bags of potential, a call up from the Croatian national team... He's at Vitesse in Holland right now, but hasnt made a single first team appearance. I just wanted to know what everyone else thought about this lad. Surely he was bought to become Cech's eventual replacement, but when Cech hangs up his boots (for the sake of argument) say 12 years from now, Delac's going to be 30...is he really going to stick around for that long??

Isn't that essentially what Pirlo does? When he came on, he clearly signalled Essien to move furthur forward out of the holding position as I assume Carlo had told him to do just that...work the ball forward.

I was at the citeh game and was surprised to see him played deeper than both Essien and Ramires, but soon came to the same conclusion as you...definitely (as judged by one short appearance(no sarcasm intended)) a Pirlo type player.

Malouda was one of the hottest left wingers around when we signed him (I distinctly remember he was rated 87 in Fifa 07!! :D )...he was my first choice replacement for Robben!! Obviously turned out crap in his first 2 seasons, but he was always a top player. It's interesting to see how his game's progressed though...he was very much a traditional speedy winger with a good cross while he was at Lyon, I think he's lost a bit of that pace and has become more of an inside left type of player than a winger now.

Have to say, Ancelotti is looking very dapper this season. Contender for the best dressed manager award?... I think so! As for the game, I'm expecting a 4-0 victory...they don't look a good team this season. I'd like to see Ramires get a full game under his belt too!

I actually think the Wheeler Dealer has pulled off a massive transfer! Despite what a lot of people on here are saying, Van Der Vaart is a world-class player. His time at Ajax and Hamburg saw him flourish and before Madrid signed him, he was one of the hottest properties in football - I for one hoped we'd sign him back then. Yes his time at Madrid didn't see him grab the headlines, but he wasn't a bad player for them. Hopefully he'll be awful at Spuds, but I do think he'll probably outshine the likes of Modric and Kranjcar. As much as I think he's a good player, I think we were right not to go for him as he would've wanted a regualr starting spot which is something we can't offer him.

Haha I'm definitely Chelsea through and through. And cheers...thought I may as well pay homage to the man who'll most likely become our most sucessful manager in history!!
