Its Meireles, not Mereiles and he's absolutely terrible, and he doesn't do sh*t. All of his passes are backwards and even those are tend to fail.

Agreed here. I've also read somewhere, that he started like a DM but was really bad and Benfica wanted to sell him, then he once had to play as a CB and impressed. Maybe it's just an anecdote though.
