  1. I really wish Eto'o does well at Chelsea so that he brings success to the club I love, proves Jose right and does his talent justice.
  2. Guys... our manager is Mourinho, not Benitez. The forked tongue has gone. Believe.
  3. And how do you know it was? My own view, fwiw, is that the tackle was reckless, thoughtless, bloody stupid in the circumstances but appeared not to be a deliberate attempt to maim the opposition... but that's all it is, my own take on it. I can only explain my opinion by pointing out that I'm a qualified ref, I try to be unbiased and I do tend to see things through a ref's eyes even when the offender is from Chelsea. Neither you nor those of us who disagree with you are mindreaders. None of us know Ram's intentions and sometimes I'm not even sure Ram himself does.
  4. Feel very, very sorry for Lukaku. A lot of pressure for a youngster, the poor sod must be devastated. All credit to Luiz for comforting him. And Cech - MOTM and hero despite the score.
  5. The plus side is that he knows the way Jose works and Jose knows the way he plays. Their partnership has been good in the past and Eto'o WANTS to play for Mourinho. That's surely got to be to the club's advantage. Yes, there are reservations but he's here now so I'll back him happily. Welcome Samuel!
  6. I'm not sure that it was ever intended to happen.
  7. No. He was THEIR best player on the park tonight. :)
  8. He's still overweight and he's still not good enough for us. Tonight's match has confirmed all I've thought all along.
  9. Hi all. Long time no speak. Hope you're all doing fantabulously. May I just predict a 2-1 win to us and to tell those who didn't see it what Dan Levine said on Twitter earlier today... "Can't wait for the bit tonight where Jose shakes Moyes' hand, then hands him back his watch and cufflinks."
  10. Sounds like a great idea... but having played against Chopper Harris can we afford to have half of our players on the injury list thereafter? Seriously, yep, I'd far prefer a past 11 to Wet Spam.
  11. Anyway, back to Shirley... I have a gut feeling that he's going to come up with the goods, win our hearts and be a player which other teams will covet within six months. Which? WHO!
  12. Thank you. That made me chuckle... I'll store that one for future use, (No offence intended, Lane, it's the riposte I'm giggling at, not the recipient).
  13. Schurrle is, imho, a far more exciting player than Rooney. I can't wait to see the German settle in and take his place in the team and feel that his input is going to be extremely valuable, with or without Rooney.
  14. Hate to say it but I think you're right. There's no way back now, imho.
  15. It's not the Greeks which I fear here - it's the Mancs bearing "gifts" with a £40k price tag which scare the bejesus out of me, Moi!
  16. I overlooked your reply in the midst, thanks for pointing it out 'cos you lost me there for a moment! Bless you, I know you weren't directing your comment at me, never fear. My Dad is in hospital atm. It's kind of you to remember and thank you for asking. His legs aren't working too well but his brain and ability to put his point over are still there. He's using that skill to inform the hospital that he won't be returning to the flat where he can't cope and is unhappy... god help them if they think they'll win that argument!
