Its not often that happens
I haven't seen the game myself, but a Liverpool fan who is normally the most bias fan I know claims that both penalty's were highly dubious.

FA Cup Quarter Final
Hang on a minute, we're still in with a chance.... just... Pedersen should be back, don't just assume it'll be the Arse playing them. come on, maybe, just maybe... Sorry 2K, I really, truly deeply hope it's your lot playing Citeh - but in my heart I just can't see it. Go Blackburn, prove me wrong big-time! Kev I also can't really see it happening, i keep telling myself that perhaps we can, but in all honesty probably no. Though if truth be known on the official rovers forum from what i remember the most optimistic scoreline was 0-0 and most were us loosing 3-0 through to 6-0. Other than Saturdays result, in the past couple of months when we have played them twice we have shown the arse far to much respect. We have given them to much space and basically just rolled over and died. Granted the 6-2 was perhaps undeserved but it happened, them beating us 0-2 at Ewood was. On Saturday we gave them a real match, bear in mind there were over 6 of the first team out through injury. It wasn't pretty or even remotely entertaining and I know that Arsenal fans hate us for not playing the free flowing football that we all want to see, but we had to do a job and we managed to contain them . tonight's result was good for us as the arse now have to win at home in the champions league, though i'm sure that David (the c**t) Dein will somehow ifx that.... unfortunately they still have youngsters for Arsen to play with so...... sorry about this really rambled message..... i'm far too pissed / tired to be even thing about sitting at a computer really...

Coppell to play reserves against Manure
You tell it as a english fan supporting Chelsea, which is playing CL playoffs always now. Of course, supporting Chelsea in games versus Barcelona, Bayern and others is very entertaining thing. But for the most european clubs (for me as a CSKA fan) CL play off is unavailible. So UEFA cup is the only opportunity to play internationals at official level. It`s easy to understand. I can see that you are Russian, so i'll try to go easy. But I don't officially support Chelsea, whilst I am cheering for them at the moment doesn't mean that I actually support them. The reason that I want Chelsea to do well is because I hate manure, the scouse (all of them), le arse, spuds, and also burnley (but they don't count) If you look at my avatar you will see that i support Blackburn and being that we are still in the UEFA cup (just) I feel that I have the right to slag the Mickey mouse cup of Europe off, it's a crap cup with nothing beneficial. it's Europe's equivalent of an international friendly. An utterly pointless waste of time with nothing to be gained.

It was dull and boring....
Souness proved himself to be a complete c**t signing that useless waste of 4 years wages i'm beginning to understand what you meant about going off topic, and i reckon the reason i like this place is because you can i can't however believe that in a thread that is laughing at hair there is no mention of Beckham (used to play for Preston and another club who's name I forget)

It was dull and boring....
It was a dull and boring match but we've managed a draw against le Arse. Going into the match I had absolutely no hope of getting anything out of it so i'm actually quite pleased with the result least of all because we're the first English team to keep a clean sheet at the emirates. With the hopeful return of Pedersen for the replay and their fixture build up we might have a chance at Ewood. I have to admit though we were more than a little lucky as Warnock clearly gave away a penalty *phew* but a few decisions went against us also. I'm sure that there are a few Chelsea fans out there hoping we can defend like that against united though! I certainly am! Now what to do for the rest of the day...

I apologise I did go over the top calling all united fans scum, especially as 2 of my mates support united and they understand why i dislike united so much after the incident, i should have re-read the post before posting it, especially as i was bringing back a horrible memory, and emotions were running high by the end.

Coppell to play reserves against Manure
In my opinion this is the first final at the new Wembley stadium therefore a place in the history books, i can't believe that reading who are safe would honestly field a weakened team just because they have a chance of getting into the UEFA cup. The UEFA cup is the most overrated pointless cup in history. (maybe barring the full members cup) From a business point of view you only break even when you get to the quarters and what is the glory of winning a crap cup in Europe? and we're in it! The FA cup is different, financially it's better than getting the UEFA cup, historically it's better and the fans want it. i reckon that this is either paper talk or Coppell trying to Ferguson out psych which won't work

Not at all, our season isn't over, we still aren't safe yet, another couple of wins then yes, but until that happens it isn't over. No the reason that I wrote is because I hate Man Utd, I would rather anyone (except Burnley) win the premiership. There are so many reasons why I hate united. The way they treated the players widows after the Munich air crash yet profited as a club from the disaster. I hate the arrogance of the fans, who still now accuse Rovers for stealing their trophy. But these pale into insignificance really when I remember to us getting relegated back in 99. I don't blame united for us going down, no that was entirely our own doing, the club was mismanaged, we had enormous back room problems and Tim Sherwood wasn't helping much either. My bitterness towards united came after the match. relegation is the most horrible, sickening feeling you can experience from a sporting point of view, getting knocked out of the world cup isn't anywhere near as bad as your team getting relegated, your dreams are shattered, nothing can prepare you for it. it's utterly vile. (i'm quite sure some of the older Chelsea member's of this forum will have gone through this also) You may be asking what this has to do with my hatred of united, I watched the match in a local pub, i was living as a poor student in Preston at the time and couldn't afford to go to the match itself. Throughout the game i was wearing my Rovers shirt the utter scum that are united fans were spitting at me punching me (i expected and got in abundance the verbals) and it made me realise what a bunch of arrogant utter tossers united fans are, i'm quite certain that if united get relegated again 90% of the so called fans would jump ship and be wearing the shirts of a different successful team. And now I've gone wildly off topic i'm probably going to get told off by a moderator.... sorry mods.

Brit awards 2007
I Agree with that completely, what i want to know is why do the organisers of the Brits insist on giving the Outstanding Achievement award every year? surely if it meant something it would only be given out from time to time? i can see it happening a few years from now, they'll be giving it to girls aloud or some other manufactured utter pap. Needless to say i didn't actually watch it

going off topic slightly, i would love to see both you and notloB beat united, because i'm sure you'll agree the last thing anyone wants is united scum winning it! back on topic I think with the FA cup game the other week against the Arse notloB proved themselves to be more than capable of beating the big boys, (I have now probably put the kiss of death on there FA cup run) but the whole point of my post was in response to your original post suggesting that you could beat Chelsea into second and now you are looking at "potentially" a UEFA cup place. Which for a club like Liverpool would be seen as a disaster. When i said that i wouldn't be surprised, i meant it. I wouldn't. They have improved year on year, big Sam is getting the most out of his team and they seem to play as a solid unit. I don't however Rate Benitez i don't like the ridiculous squad rotation, i don't like the negative style of play and i don't believe he even knows his best team and for the large amount of money he has spent Liverpool and the fans haven't had good value. I know you'll go on about the Champions league and FA cup, but i honestly don't believe you were good enough to win them. Milan through it away and West Ham were so desperately unlucky it was untrue. Both occasions you were very very lucky.

Manchester United | Chelsea
One thing is for sure, this is looking like it's going to be one of the best premiership run in's for years I just hope that Chelsea can do it!

notloB are realistically the only team outside the big four that could get 4th place, i can't see Reading getting it and they are 6 points clear of Portsmouth. You might notice that you are only 3 points clear of them. and the Arse have the game in hand, who knows maybe they could get 3rd but lets not get carried away here. I notice that you are also only using premiership form, you were humiliated twice at home by Arsenal last month and as has been stated above you haven't had particularly difficult fixtures. Chelsea and notloB at home excluded. But more recently you didn't do well against Everton and certainly not against Newcastle.

The form Liverpool are in at the moment i wouldn't be surprised to see them not qualify for the champions league. Much as it pains me to say it notloB are doing brilliantly at the moment and seem to have avoided there usual mid season slip up. I have been hoping it was going to be the Arse that they replaced, but it would be so much better if it was Liverpool.

Player Ratings v. Middlesborough
As an outsider I would say Drogba should win it, he's certainly seems to be the most improved player. And i honestly think it's because he's staying on his feet more. This year I think he's been outstanding.

Same old Arsenal... always cheating.
Wigan were robbed yesterday, it was an absolute tragedy. Heskey should have got that penalty, Flamini was offside, why were Wigan not allowed to bring there treated played back onto the pitch. Lehmann and Henry yet again proved themselves to be cocks of the highest order and yet again Wenger didn't see the penalty claim.

Rovers at Home- Glory
Cheers for the welcome, I'll probably hang around this place for a bit, as it seems like a well run site with good fans on here. Assuming that is ok? I'm actually quite pleased with the way we are starting to look these days, 2 seasons ago we got the tag blackeye rovers and it seems to have stuck, but last season and this season we have shown that we're not just a bunch of talentless hackers. We still have problems with discipline (we're top of the bad boy league yet again) but Hughes has brought in some really good players in the form of Bentley, McCarthy, Warnock, Dunn and of course Nelsen. It's encouraging that the academy is producing young talent and Derbyshire coming through is proof of that. Also Peter being on the bench most games as cover for Pederson. I know that you have had some serious injury problems, but so have we and having Nelsen come back is just what we needed (i'm sure you feel the same about Terry!) but loosing Ooijer, Khizanishvili, Reid and Savage isn't great. Pedersen actually seems to be showing us how good he can be, and hopefully having Warnock at left back rather than Mickey Gray he'll continue in his good run of form. Most non Rovers fans seem to rave about how good Pedersen is but we've seen him all to often disappear for games. The biggest worry at the moment is Savage being out. I know he's not the most popular of players, but he's vital for us in midfield due to his immense work rate. unfortunately the player to replace him is Mokoena who is just crap. I think we should survive this season as I reckon that one more win should do it, as we have played everyone in the big four twice except united scum we haven't got to bad a run in. However we were awful yesterday and didn't really deserve to take all 3 points. anyway, sorry for boring you all with my opinion of the state of our team, and once again thanks for the welcome. Mike

sorry but only the once??
bugger :( it's 0-2 looks like 3 points in the bag for the red scum :(

Rovers at Home- Glory
they have to go away to spurs, away to you, also they have Liverpool and Bolton to play so there are plenty of opportunities for them to drop points. and maybe we could beat them at old trafford again... but don't bet on it! ;) fingers crossed for Chelsea again!

Rovers at Home- Glory
Hi there, I'm a Rovers fan, and whilst obviously i wanted us to win last night, i'd like to congratulate you on your victory. I'm disappointed that we lost, however i'm glad that you are still in touch with the red scum at the top of the table. So if i may wish you all the best for the rest of the season, and hopefully you'll be able to do a favour to all football fans outside of old trafford and win the premiership again. Cheers Mike
