Alright then .. as a result of popular demand .. im back!

So .. we have had our injury problems, Ballack and Sheva have not been as influential as many would have liked, and to top it off Terry has been out. United have been playing very well .. props to them. But, they still have to play us at the Bridge and Liverpool at Anfield. Anything can happen .. they will drop points - but will they drop 6?

Will we win the PL again? Or are United too far to reach?

United need to drop 7 points, not 6, as their goal difference is better than ours... Only 10 matches left... The odds are against us I'm afraid icon_sad.gif

If they drop 6 points with their goal difference it still might not be enough. We need them to drop points elsewhere. The Manchester derby perhaps? It might only take a dodgy draw at a team fighting for there life against the drop.

While there's a chance we have to believe, or should i say 128.gif

Difficult to say who will win the PL.

I'm still sure that we can win it. United is only 6 points ahead of us and there's still enough games left to play.

As for goal difference we might need another point to go past them. But if ManU lose by two goals and we manage to win with 4-0 then we have gained 6 goals. So who knows we might just need 6 points.

The only thing we need to concentrate on right now is to win every game. Never mind what ManU does. If we win all the remaining games then we will atleast keep the 2nd place and with a bit of luck ManU might drop enough points for us to squeeze by them. I hope JM can keep the players from looking at how ManU are doing. We don't need that.

Needless to say ManU has the advantage at the moment. They look almost unbeatable and that is not a reassuring thought.

But I have to say that if ManU can play the entire season like this - with no injury problems or bad form - then they truly are worthy champions. It pains me to admit it but it's the truth.

And if that happens and we manage to end the season in a good way and keep the 2nd position then I won't be too sad. Finishing 2nd behind a team that has been close to unbeatable the entire season isn't too bad, especially if you consider all the problems we've had.

And who knows. If we lose the league and manage to win the league cup, FA cup and the Champions League then I really won't be sad. Just the CL trophy would be enough.

I mean, who needs to be champions of England if you can be the champions of Europe? icon_razz.gif

Agree with Moos to a point, UTD have been excellent so far and with the problems wehave had if we can close the gap a bit by may then I think we will have shown that however well they've played they only won it because of our difficulties.

winning the CL would go a way to making me feel better but to be honest, given the choice the title would be my choice,

CL and a cup nice bit of icing,

the main thing is to close the gap and show our intent, make it a nervy run in for them and show we have the guts for the challenge, if we lose it let it be with our heads held high and finishing strongest.

My only hope is in two weeks when Man U visit Liverpool at Anfield, Liverpool have got the best home record this season. Hopefully that's 3 points lost there, then in April when Man U come to our ground. We nick 3 points there, then hope they get a draw or something somewhere which can give us the ability to gain that 1 point needed.

If other teams play ManU like Charton did, which means with no fear, then I think we have a good chance to win the league. That is a big IF, however.

I havent voted how could you ?

The way I look at it is like this. It is up to us to put them under pressure and hopefully they will crack, apart form playing them at home this is the only way we can effect their season. So basically it is has to be 3 points everyweek from here in..

Come on Chelsea !

One thing is for sure, this is looking like it's going to be one of the best premiership run in's for years icon_cool.gif I just hope that Chelsea can do it!

Like Mourinho said that Utd should have punished us much more than they have done and 6 points, considering some of our injuries, isn't too bad.

For me the season started (again) against Borough with the return of JT and Cech and the next 4 games are crucial. I cant see us losing against City, Pompey, Sheffield or Watford and if we can keep the pressure on Utd they might faulter.

Remember it's a marathon, not a sprint!

But whatever happens we'll all be back next season.

UP THE CHELS!

United are playing well and on current form you have to fancy them but as the season draws to a conclusion , the pressure will be massive upon them so for me theres still a chance we can make ground. Without taking anything away from them , they basically had an injury free season compared to us and thats why they are in the position there in now.

Still , other trophies to fight for so im confident we'll have silverware at the end of the season.

Experience....Thats the key for me. Our whole squad has been there and done that, so they know how to win Prem titles and win games when under pressure. On the other hand, I don't think anyone in the MU team apart from Scholes, Giggs and Neville has been in this situation before and they might just crack under pressure when things are really close at the end.

So, I am confident of our third title in a row. badge.gifscarf.gif

I reckon we're still in with a good chance. Ten games is a lot of games and assuming that we will win at the Bridge then United need to drop 4 points in nine games - not impossible. The hardest part is for us to keep winning and I suppose it may be a bit far fetched to think that we will win all of our games. But there's no harm in keeping the dream alive. I'm pretty confident that were it not for the injuries and the unsettled period of 2 months back we'd be ahead of United. As for winning the three other Cups !!!! That would be unbelievable. Champions League alone would be more than enough for me!!! I would say that that would give me greater pleasure today than the EPL (whereas 2 years ago my priority was for the EPL title). In a nutshell, we're still in with a decent chance in all comps and we should really be proud of our team. 1064.gif

My heart says we can do it. But the head says that we will have to be very lucky.

To start with ManU have improved out of sight defensively this year. Ever since Ferdinand returned from suspension they stopped giving up easy goals. Also most of their players are injury free. We may well beat them at home but they must fancy their chances of getting a draw at either Anfield or the Bridge.

In truth they will likely handle the pressure fairly well. The manager is vastly experienced and most of the players are used to winning.

Secondly although our defensive problems have probably gone away our attacking problems have not. Only Drogba and Lampard are scoring regularly and we haven't even had as many goals from corners as we had last season, perhaps Terry can help with that.

Having said all that being a chelsea supporter. Of course we can do it.

Cmon mate, its not as if we havent been in this position before, its new territory for you to have to chase a team down.

Man Utd as a club have been in this position before, but a lot of your current players haven't. The likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Saha, Vidic and Carrick have never won the league.

Joe Cole> daylight > Ronaldo >>>>> Robben.

Robben is an A-grade talent but a B-grade player. The difference between him and the other two are that they are living their potential, while Robben is living on past reputation.
