  1. There will be plenty selling tickets but the demand is so big (much bigger than last year according to uefa) that black market prices will be mind boggling.
  2. A - The coach carpark is next to the ground. You will be in the Nordkurve if you have a ticket and the coach park is behind the Südkurve, about ten minutes walk. If you haven't got a ticket and go into the city to watch the game you will need to get the underground train U6 after the game in the direction of Garching to get to your bus, get off the train at Frottmanning (the ground). The trip from the city centre to the stadium takes about 20 minutes. B - No. There is sod all in the way of bars/pubs near the ground.
  3. Yes I have a season ticket at Bayern, since 1987.
  4. Success brings envy, envy brings hate. I was on the Man City forum when they were playing us earlier in the season. Most of them were good lads but they were slagging Man Utd off without realising that with the big success they are expecting and demanding other clubs will see them in exactly the same way. I tell the Bayern haters over here that if it wasn't us or Dortmund they would find someone else to hate, every top league has one or two clubs that are successful and everyone else can't stand, it's human nature. Bayern have stayed at the top in Germany while all the others come and go but never been in debt, I admit I'm proud of that. Let them hate, it doesn't stop us winning. When the oppositions fans hate you it generally means you are a good side, take it as a compliment. As for the way you played against Barcelona. You played the entire second half with ten men, any other approach would have been suicide. What did they expect ?
  5. A bit of both mate. On the one hand there are plenty who would like us to lose just as there are plenty in England who'd like to see you lose. On the other hand now that I live up north my local bar is populated mostly by Hannover fans with a sprinkling of Bremen, HSV and Wolfsburg lads, most of them generally hate Bayern and when we lose I get some stick ! But the majority of these lads have already said that they want us to win the final, Karl an old guy who would swear Bayern were lucky in the Bundesliga if we won it by 20 points, told me yesterday "I'll be supporting you in the final, good for Germany and the Bundesliga".
  6. As an English ex-pat and Bayern season ticket holder since 1987 with plenty experience of Munich (The city and the football team), I am also happy to help out any of your fans needing advice about coming over. I no longer live in Munich, I moved up north in 1995, but am still down there regularly for games and visiting mates etc.
  7. Rummenigge misquoted yet again. He actually said that he has had good wishes from all over europe about the final, not that everyone wants us to win. However the gutter press feel the need to add a large portion of bullcrap to stir up some sh*t, the Sun, why does that not surprise me !?
  8. Unfortunately Bayern aren't using a match loyalty system, a pity as I'm a season ticket holder ! The club has decided that all members and supporters clubs can apply and tickets will be picked out in a lotto system. This sounds fine but we have over 180,000 members and about 3,000 supporters clubs so chances of a ticket are pretty low. The demand is so high that supporters clubs have been limited to applying for just 4 tickets instead of the usual 24, even then they may not get any.
  9. A - Maybe he just has more experience now, he was a young lad when he joined Chelsea, he still had hair ! He's been a great player for us including in the CL against the likes of Man Utd and Real. B - I take no notice of the odds tbh, the odds said that the final would be Real v Barcelona, where are they now ? C - As long as it's not this year mate !
  10. There is bugger all near the ground, likewise nothing in the way of bars, pubs, restaurants. Do your eating and drinking in town and then get the U-Bahn out to the stadium. Allow a good 45 minutes or so too, the train takes about 20 minutes and there is a fair walk at the other end.
  11. Thanks mate, thankfully I had Thursday off work, by the end of extra time and penalties I was more than a little bit drunk ! We have a great record over the years against Madrid. Robben is very popular over here, the fans love him, although the absolute idol of the fans is Ribery.
  12. I've been asked this elsewhere today already ! Decent player but I reckon you have bought him as a squad player tbh, he is good but not great.
  13. Cheers. Well we have a few missing too, that's about even. Terry of course got a straight red but the opinion over here is that we would be happy for an amnesty for the 3 booked players from each side, that is probably too sensible for uefa though ! Of course we have the game at our ground but that was decided ages ago, we aren't complaining but it wasn't our decision. As to your last sentence we are well aware of that. Unlike Barcelona (or Madrid against us), we won't just think we need to turn up to win. Listening to our players and management being interviewed the last couple of days there is no chance of that. Bayern know that anyone reaching a CL final needs to be respected, our players know they need to play well to win. We won't be underestimating Chelsea.
  14. Toni Kroos will drop back, Thomas Müller will slot in behind Gomez. After today we only have one league game left, away at Köln next weekend. Like today we can play a B-Team as we are second in the league whatever happens. You lads have 4 games left and still need points, whether or not that is a disadvantage or not who knows ? Like you we also have a domestic cup final. Today we beat Stuttgart 2-0 (Gomez, Müller), only three of the team from the Madrid game started. Anyway I hope you don't mind me posting on your forum, looking forward to some pre-match banter. Anyone coming over for the game needing any info just ask. Tickets here are like gold dust, the demand is incredible.
