  1. An open letter in tomorrow's media from the Bayern team to the fans. Translation : Dear Bayern fans and football fans throughout Germany. Here we are, we have reached our unbelievable "Final at home". The entire world is watching Munich, the Allianz Arena, and we are there. We give our word that we will do everything to make your, and our dream come true. We will give everything we have, just as you in the arena, at public viewing or at home will do. We all have a dream, let's make it reality ! The team and trainer, your Bayern München.
  2. Bayern team, probable : Neuer Lahm Tymoschchuk Boateng Contento Schweinsteiger Kroos Robben Müller Ribery Gomez...
  3. Everybody was telling us we'd no chance against Madrid too.
  4. The cold was 2 days ago and he has trained since and been interviewed on tv. He is fit.
  5. The bus was late to take us back to the hotel so we were just dragging it out a bit .
  6. Try the Leierkasten, not that I've ever been of course . Munich police are warning that demand is so huge for tickets that plenty forgeries are being touted so be bloody careful if buying a ticket on the black.
  7. Sorry for the late answer, been working all day with no access to a computer. I'd allow a good 80 or 90 minutes to be on the safe side but it should take about an hour.
  8. Tbf we can say the same after knocking out the team that beat Barcelona to the Spanish title by several points. Still fairly calm atm but by tomorrow evening the nerves will be kicking in.
  9. I'd take any press reports on what players of either side have "said" with a pinch of salt tbh.
  10. I'm checking on German press, internet and tv media plus the club website. We have no injury problems. Just the suspended players as you have.
  11. Yes found it on the Bild site. Apparently he got kicked on the foot by Olic on Friday morning but it is a nothing story.
  12. Not true. Robben had a cold and missed training as a precaution. He is fit and will play.
  13. I've seen us in 4 Champions cup finals since I've lived here and we lost 3 of them, how do you think my nerves are ? It doesn't get better. In these situations there is only despair or ecstasy, nothing else. I am as desperate for my team to win as you are for yours. You don't enjoy these games you just try and get through them !
  14. I can't help here though, I'm clueless regarding twittthing I'm afraid.
  15. Except for Sunderland, my mum is from Sunderland. I remember mum and me supporting Chelsea on tv in the 1970 FA cup final as we Sheffielders hate Leeds. Mum has lived in Sheffield since she was 4, she is almost 80 now but is still a season ticket holder at Sheffield United and will be at Wembley for the play off final v Huddersfield the week after our game. Think of my old mum on the 26th and keep your fingers crossed for the Blades lads !
  16. I'm looking forward to it but I'm always nervous about these games too, anyone who isn't is not normal. Anyway everyone, for those setting off for the game tomorrow I wish you a good trip over. I can't wish you a good game, we are after all supporting the opposite sides, however I have been accepted well on this site and hope my advice has helped in some way.
  17. This is just for traffic as far as I know. You should be fine using public transport. I'm not seeing any crap about this in the German media.
  18. S8 direct from the airport, get off at Marienplatz (11th stop), change to U3 (direction Olympiastadion) or U6 (direction Garching) and get off at Odeonsplatz ( 1st stop) or Giselastrasse (for Englischer garten 3 stops).
  19. I'm sure that there will be beer and food being served. In anycase Odeonsplatz is only two stops from Giselastrasse which is in the district of Schwabing and packed with bars. Giselastrasse is also just a few minutes walk from the huge Chinese tower beergarden in the Englischer garten with room for 3,500 people which opens at 11am. Odeonsplatz is fairly central as well and there will be bars nearby.
  20. This site has an interactive map showing both clubs meeting places, biergärten showing the match on pv etc. Just click on the map : http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/champions-league-finale-in-muenchen-wo-sie-mit-schweini-auf-den-sieg-anstossen-1.1358968
  21. If you mean that rubbish in the sun I've already spoken about it earlier in the thread. I'm hearing nothing about it over here.
  22. Yes Bayern got the same 17,500 tickets as you and had to split them between the 1,200,000 that applied ! The German FA got 9,000 tickets but they were sold ages ago. Bayern have both ends at normal home games, the away block is in the north west corner but the end where the noisiest support stands is the Südkurve which Bayern have been allocated for this game. Chelsea have the Nordkürve. Bayern's fans will certainly have some choreography planned for the game as Chelsea's will too I imagine.
