  1. Not even sure what message he's trying to send here if any.
  2. Salah hardly got a proper run of games and neither did KDB. You can't judge a young player based on one or two cup games where he was poor. And this is the same for the fans who right now think RLC isn't Chelsea quality. He hasn't even gotten a proper run of games in a Chelsea shirt. We keep making the same mistake over and over.
  3. Targeting Tolisso and signing Bakayoko instead. Having RLC and instead sending him on loan to sign Drinkwater for 35m. Having De Bruyne but selling him and because of Oscar. Having Salah but selling him because of Willian/Schurrle/etc. I can go on and on.
  4. It would be so typical of Chelsea to end up with the Fulham manager now.
  5. He's gone.
  6. I'm not going to apologise for not having a small club mentality like a lot of you lot on here. By the time I was growing up, we were already winning things. I've never known a Chelsea era where we've gone years without winning or fought relegation (or gotten relegated). Maybe that's what hampers the mentality of you lot. And I'm glad I don't have all of that in mind. For all intents and purposes, it's PTSD. HOW can you try to criticise ambition and call it entitlement? Entitled to what? There's no football club on the planet who can survive without its fans, they essentially run on the goodwill (and pockets) of fans, so again....entitled to what? This is faux positivity mixed with naivite, PTSD and lack of ambition. And I'm glad I'm not part of that bunch. It's like criticising a bloke who works a 9-5 for having the ambition to start his own business which could one day generate millions of pounds and telling him he should be instead grateful he's got a job at all and isn't homeless on the street. Absolutely puzzling. You can keep that mentality. It's not for me.
  7. I think cup competitions like the FA Cup and Copa Del Rey and co will suffer the most. Unless they make it a summer tournament in the years between the Euros and the WC.
  8. I also want us as a club to get to the point where we're among the absolute elite and don't act like thankful beggars every time we manage to win a trophy. Where we demand success from our players and staff every season like Real, Barca, Bayern and co and anything less isn't good enough. Who gives a rat's arse about Spurs? Why do we want to remain on that level? You call it spoilt, I call it ambitious.
  9. Much clearer situation now.
  10. Indeed it's a clever plan if we pull it off. She's probably more determined than ever to save some money for Roman these days wherever she can. Anyway, nothing will happen until ADL officially fires Sarri.
  11. In addition to what has been said, I've probably watched about 12 Napoli games this season. Their CL games against City and the big matches against Juve, the Milan sides and Roma. Their football was impeccable. They suffered from the same sort of breakdown City suffered in the CL last season. In other words, as good as their players were in the system Sarri built, better players would have gotten them over the line. The same way better players took City to another level this season. Would have won them the league too. I'm excited to see what he'd do with Hazard considering what he turned Insigne into. I think we should send Willian and 15m to United for Martial if Sarri joins. He would turn that kid into a monster. The talent is already there. Also think we'd get a much better Emerson, Rudiger and co. Even Reina looked good.
  12. Knowing Marina though and how little she knows about football on the pitch, we'll probably end up with neither Sarri nor Jardim and Enrique will be smiling, holding up a Chelsea shirt in about a week.
  13. We spent over a month haggling over a 3m difference with Monaco in the Bakayoko transfer. Marina would penny pinch about 10 quid of you gave her the chance. It's not surprising to me at all. On one hand, Jardim being young gives me confidence that there'll be a second chance to get him in the future if we don't get him now. On the other hand, he could be hired by someone else who refuses to let him go by the time we're ready to hire him (or maybe he chooses not to join). It would be a shame. Then again, there might be a new flavour of the month when Sarri leaves Chelsea. 3 years ago neither Sarri nor Jardim would have popped up in discussions for top jobs like this.
  14. Unconfirmed rumours that Marina told Sarri to try to get himself fired so Chelsea wouldn't have to pay his buyout clause and that money would be used to payoff Conte instead, slashing the cost of the fire and hire in half. Apparently, Conte will get fired immediately Sarri is fired by Napoli. ADL is under a lot of pressure to get a new manager. Take that report with a grain of salt but it makes some sense to me, considering how much of a penny pincher Marina has become these days. Anyway, I wouldn't mind missing out on Sarri if it means we get Jardim. Love Sarri's football but I don't think he'll be here long term. Jardim though has the potential to be more long term and he's more friendly to youth players.
  15. Of course he doesn't give a bloody f**k about a mutual termination of contract. He doesn't give a f**k about Chelsea. Not even a little bit. And he's not as wealthy as Jose. So we shouldn't expect the Jose kind of agreement from last time. He wants his cheque. He probably won't get that kind of cheque for at least another few years. I don't blame him. Should never have renewed his contract last summer. Thank God we didn't extend the contract, we'd have been in a worse situation.
  16. Completely disagree. Wenger has signed some truly horrendous defenders who weren't young at all. Senderous, Djourou, Silva and co. Absolute garbage. And they weren't kids. Sometimes he replaces his proven talent with OBVIOUSLY rubbish young players as well. Imagine replacing RVP with Yaya Sanogo. The problem was always Wenger tbqh.
  17. Da Silva is never getting in the team. Pains my heart to say it but that's the reality. He has never even been given the meager minutes RLC and Christensen used to get. Hudson-Odoi has gotten more minutes than Da Silva and so has Ampadu. If I were RLC, if Chelsea don't bring me into the team next season, I'm asking to be sold and moving on from Chelsea for good. Bertrand was faithful for a long time and still didn't get the proper chance. No point wasting your career on Chelsea's indecisiveness.
  18. Integrating youth wasn't the problem at Arsenal. They've had several really good PL quality players out of that process. Wenger's tactics were the problem. Fabregas was a product of Wenger's youth integration, wasn't he?
  19. What better time to bring them in than now when we're trying to build a stadium and being more cautious about how much we spend? It's coinciding with a time when we've never had better players in the academy than we do at the moment. The stars are aligned. We need to do it now.
