Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
It's done!

Higuain had his best season under Sarri and Sarri converted Mertens from an average winger to a very prolific false 9. I think if we stick to what we have he may do something good with Morata. Don't see the point of helping Juve basically foot their entire Ronaldo transfer fee. Now if they wanted to offer us Dybala, we should be jumping at that without a second thought.

It's not even just 65m. Man City offered 50m in installments. We offered Napoli 57m upfront and 8m in add-ons. ADL will take that any day.

The perfect compromise. ADL gets the Sarri money he wanted and we get to act like we got Sarri for free. Everyone comes out looking like a winner.

In the spirit of diving into needless semantics, let me also point out to you that you don't seem to know the meaning of the word "never" either. I can go back a few posts and show you comments I've made that are the complete opposite of this scenario you've painted. If you want me to, I'll indulge. I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable with me pointing out whatever I feel is wrong/mishandled at the club but that's your problem. I don't believe in living in a bubble. When it's good, I say it. When it's bad, I say it. Simple.

Nothing we can do about it. We're stuck with each other. Might as well get along.

Oh I do. I see it in almost every post you make. You're the old timer who knows it all and us millenials are whingers, etc, etc.

Might not be too early for you to have a drink. It'll help loosen you up a bit. You're always overly smug about something.

Eh f**k it. We've finally gotten some good news. Let's all smile about the state of the club for once this summer, shall we? Admittedly, I was just super tired of Conte (and have been since February at least). Just glad to be moving on.- Next Chelsea Manager
It was retweeted on my timeline. But of course if you aren't that familiar with social media you'd think I've gone and pulled it myself. Who has that time?- Next Chelsea Manager
If we can get him for half the reported fee it would be great.- Next Chelsea Manager
Imagine being gazumped to a player you had all but signed by a club not even in the CL. That one must sting.- Next Chelsea Manager
A lot of the signings Conte did make turned out to be garbage though. We splashed on Morata, Rudiger and Bakayoko at his request. As well as Zappacosta and Alonso. Barkley and Kante were club signings. Haven't seen anything that suggests who made the call on signing Drinkwater but the other cases should tell you Conte wasn't exactly abandoned.- Next Chelsea Manager
No, no, I think it was you, Antonio, who couldn't pull top players. Good riddance to sufferball.- Next Chelsea Manager
Must be absolutely burning City that they don't get to have the actual "city" advantage in transfer dealings, ehy? No one wants to leave in that sh*thole unless you're stuffing stupid money in their mouths.- Next Chelsea Manager
It's actually not that much money considering we're offloading Willian, Batshuayi, Luiz, possibly Drinkwater and Pedro. We'll end up having a net spend of no more than 70m imo. How have you not realised in year 15 that this is Roman's model? He obviously doesn't care or we'd have had less managers and longer tenures. You actually can't guarantee anything at all mate.- 2018/19 squad
Golovin-Jorginho-Kante is a fantastic midfied and solves most of the midfield problems we had last year (only thing missing is goals from midfield but Golovin has a bit of that) Between Golovin, Jorginho, Rugani and Higuain, that's almost 190m spent on new players. Surely this means we're selling? We need to sell Willian to Barca quick before Madrid go for a Neymar (or god forbid Hazard) and Barca feel the need to rethink the Willian signing in favour of some other marquee signing. I do wonder how we fit Christensen into this potential Rugani & Rudiger mix.- Jorginho
I watched 3 games in which he played last season and liked what I saw but I obviously wasn't focusing on just him. Should have looked out more for him. From highlights I've seen online....my, he's an absolutely wonderful footballer. Reminds me of Xabi Alonso. Cesc but with better athleticism and infinitely better defending.- Next Chelsea Manager
Nope. Nothing stopped us from getting this wrapped up in June, especially since we've ended up paying a fat fee for the pair anyway. This is no way to plan for a season ahead. Valuable time has been wasted on haggling over peanuts.- Next Chelsea Manager
How dare you say such a thing, you ungrateful fan? Where were you in the 80's when many on here were battling relegation with CFC? Be content with what you have! Why would you want to compare us to Juventus or a club of that stature? You can f**k right off talking all that sense. :)- Next Chelsea Manager
Think he and ADL had disagreements and on top of that, Chelsea came calling well before the season ended so he had made his mind up to leave and wouldn't sign the new contract being offered to him by ADL.- Next Chelsea Manager
Actually, both played for Sarri. Rugani played for Sarri at Empoli. Was sold to Juventus the same summer Sarri joined Napoli I think. Sarri gave him his big break.- Next Chelsea Manager
How dare you attack the board on this forum? Don't you know that's an absolute sin on here?- Next Chelsea Manager
Absolute nonsense pulled out of thin air. - Next Chelsea Manager
