If majority of our signings work out (doesn't always work that way in football but ehy) then we have nothing to worry about. We're not short of young Strasborg players or academy players to sell. I imagine players like Sterling probably get moved on within the next 2-3 years as well. We'll be fine.

Apparently, Liverpool added it to their bid. Which is why Brighton are adamant that we match that. Especially as they also have a sell-on clause to remit to Caicedo's old club themselves. I would try to put a time limit on that sell-on if I were Boehly and co. After 5 years, it should expire.

Not fair. This is the first game of the season. There was news that Poch changed the formation and took Mudryk out last minute when he saw Liverpool's lineup and formation. I'm almost sure he'll start the next game.

He's basically a Pirlo + Fabregas hybrid (with a sprinkle of Ramires) and will absolutely prove it with the right guidance. Seems like Poch is doing that for him so far.

At this point, I think we should have paid more for him. It's what I keep saying about these player prices. No one really gives a sh*t as soon as the player starts producing on a world class level. Those price tags get forgotten pretty quickly. No one remembers how much VVD or Allisson cost Liverpool anymore (as opposed to Kepa's price tag with us). No one cares how much Madrid paid for Bellingham anymore and it's still early. No one cares what astronomical wages City are paying Haaland, he probably deserves more. I can go on and on. Enzo is an absolute top drawer player. When he gets paird with Caicedo, we'll see even more production from him. And this isn't a slight on Gallagher, btw, who was fantastic today. Caicedo just offers even more. Exciting times ahead for us. Enzo is doing justice to that No. 8.

All three are quality btw. With the right system, they'll all be world class in a few years and no one will remember how much they cost.

Think of it this way, all the drama is part of what keeps bringing new fans, new investments, etc to the sport. There's almost never a dull moment in the PL. Whether the season is on or not. You don't have to like it but more money coming into the league = bigger tv deals, etc = more money for Chelsea.

We have to understand that he's had no preseason so it's going to take some games for players to fully understand his style. Tuchel played it safe for a long time too just so he could slowly reel the players into his philosophy. Been impressed by Potter's flexibility so far though. Today's game was quite entertaining.
