I think what seems to be lost on a lot of non Chelsea fans is that Chelsea in theory paid 57m for Jorginho. Which is still more than City were offering but still reasonable in this market for that quality. The extra 8m was just Sarri's release clause which we'd been haggling over. It was a way for both sides to come out looking like winners. Basically an ego competition. ADL got to prove to his fans in Naples that he's an astute business man and will only accept top dollar for his players and the Chelsea board get to sort out the manager situation quickly and claim we didn't pay a dime for Sarri while also signing a DLP. We had been in a long, difficult conversation about Sarri with Napoli for 58 days or so. As soon as Roman spoke to ADL and offered to buy Jorginho as well, the situation was sorted out in about 3-5 days. I hope that helps you understand it better.

Also scored 36 league goals under Sarri in 15/16 if I'm not mistaken. I don't like the price but he's miles better than Morata. Might even open the door for a Callum Hudson-Odoi or Tammy Abraham because of his age.

Sorry but I'm not going to suck up to a player that has never even shown the club respect. If you're comfortable with this threat to leave every so often then that's fine. I'm not. Imo, he's more arrogant than Ronaldo and his talent level isn't even close to Ronaldo's. The fact that he's trying to f**k us over AND drag our best player with him in the process has done it for me. We actually let Cech go to those North London twats for this absolute c**t. It hurts. First it was holding us ransome to play him or he'd walk. We ditched a club legend for him only for him to tease leaving back to Madrid every f**king summer. Never warmed up to him because of his big mouth. If he leaves, I won't be bothered at all, especially if we get Alisson - who's not as good a GK but a very good one still and great with his feet. The fact that this c**t is not only trying to leave but trying to persuade Hazard to leave as well is just the icing on the cake. None of that matters. That figure is an insult to CFC and I'd be shocked if Marina who has basically scammed other clubs into paying us big fees for unwanted players actually lets our most valuable asset go for what would be peanuts in today's market for a player of his caliber. If they're not ready to spend that much then they can f**k off.

That's why I'm confident he'll sign. Because there's no way CFC are selling our best player 3 weeks before the season starts with no replacement around. Won't happen.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned in the Sarri discussion is Azpilicueta. I think he'll be back at RB and I'm excited to see how Sarri will improve him offensively.

Buy a star striker or offer 80m plus Willian to Barca for Dembele. Or sell Willian and get Bailey. Something of that sort. Have a very good season with Sarri (I see a title challenge but I won't jinx it). Offer him something like 380k or 400k pw, much more than the 300k currently on the table. Have Roman talk to him privately and make assurances. He'll sign the new contract.

Since when have Madrid cared about balance when buying stars? I do think Neymar makes more sense from their perspective though. He's a much bigger commercial draw than Hazard. Bigger star and quite frankly a better player overall (when he's not diving).

This is where Marina's stubbornness will come in very handy. If we ever got to the point where we sold him to Madrid, she will absolutely take them to the cleaners. She will milk them for every penny possible. Either way, it's not happening.

I'd rather let him run out his contract if he doesn't sign. Drogba spent 8 years here. 8 years is a good time to spend at a club and move on. For what it's worth, there's absolutely no chance we sell Hazard this summer just 3 weeks away from the start of the season with no replacement in sight. Not happening.

He has 2 years left on the contract. There's plenty of time to get him to sign it.

Somehow everyone's ignoring the second part. We all know he has always wanted Real Madrid. He's not going to force his way out though. Roman needs to have a sit down with him on his yacht or something and get him to sign a new contract. No cause for alarm for me tbh.
