For me, Chalobah belongs safely to the group of senior CBs we should be using in the PL/CL next season. That also incudes Colwill, Tosin, Fofana (if he can get/stay fit?) and Veiga (if we can keep him?). If we sell anybody, it should be Disasi and/or Badiashile, but of course that would be less appealing from a "pure-profit" point of view. We don't even need to sign anybody in defence, although a proper back-up for Cucu would be nice, assuming Chilwell gets sold/loaned out again.

I seem to remember some quite negative reactions to Palmer's signing - 40+ million for another raw kid who barely plays?! Some things never change.

I'm not expecting a title challenge, but if we barely scrape into the top four again, that would not be acceptable. Consolidation of our top four position should be our expectation, and if we can be in the running for the title, that would be a bonus. A decent showing in the cups, including group stages in the CL, are musts.

It's been a while since I've been impressed by a new signing by such a degree. I wasn't overly excited by the singing at first or really understood what his role would be, but he looks like to be a great fit in the "CF" position to link up with Palmer, Enzo, and the two wingers. He also offers a real goal threat and is not afraid to shoot from outside the box, which will come in useful for a lot of our games where teams will set up with a low block. He's a totally different type of player than Delap, I think both of them will be useful next season, but this guy has hit the ground running.
