With Neto's form and the arrival of Estevao and Pedro, it seems that we wouldn't miss him a great deal next season. He's one of our most sellable assets, and we do need to sell, so I feel like his departure is inevitable now. He's had his moments, but I'm pretty 'meh' about the whole thing.

I could definitely see us selling him now, in the context of the punishments from UEFA. As long as the fee is fair, I won't be devastated, although I do appreciate his qualities.

Expensive, but I watched a video on YouTube while half asleep last night that explained why he's the PERFECT winger for Maresca's system, so I'm sold. (TLDR: He stays wide, likes to take on 1-on-1s, and has a high-boredom threshold)

Yeah, he's really come along in the past few months. I rated him highly when with Wolves so had high hopes for him here. He seems to have a fantastic attitude as well and is a real 'team' player.

I like Noni, and until a few weeks ago I would have said he's our best winger, but Neto's overtaken him in my view recently. He doesn't always make the right decisions, but he brings some chaos/unpredictability to the team, and that's good to have. I won't be devastated if we do sell him, but would prefer us to keep hold of him rather than selling to a rival.

The game would have been over by now if they'd just played on. Totally ridiculous. Political correctness gawn maad.

I thought we originally signed Nkunku to play with Jackson rather than instead of him, but he got injured and Cole Palmer happened, and that was it for him. It's ironic that he's (presumably) leaving at a time when we could do with somebody to take some of the load off Palmer (I could imagine him combining with Delap quite well), but he mentally checked out in January and needs to move on.

So it's a two game ban with no appeal possibility. How on Earth will we cope?

I wouldn't be too bothered if we crashed out. It gives the players a longer break, and avoids increasing Maresca's brownie points in the eyes of the owners. It's also a such a soulless, artificial tournament.

I'm not surprised by the data, tbh. I can accept he was the 'best' (make that, least bad) choice for us at CF for much of the season, it's just the other options tended to be worse. He can do some good stuff sometimes, such as the assist for Pedro in the previous match. It's a shame that Guiu was unavailable for much of it, I think we suffered from that, and Nkunku basically stopped trying after he failed to get his transfer in January after looking kind of decent against a bunch of minnows in the Mickey Mouse league. However, the recent sendings off show that we cannot even rely on Jackson to stay on the pitch when selected anymore, so now that we have an alternative in Delap (and Guiu being fit again), there should be no place for him in the team.

Ok, this made me smile. I'll not hate on a player for not being good enough, he doesn't pick the team, but his ill-discipline has let us down twice in four games and makes him a liability.

I think that's on Jackson, TBF. Not really a game to be giving one of the new kids a run out. Whatever Maresca had planned went out the window.
