Great opportunity for “smaller clubs” in other nations Always baffled me when I was young that there was a country World Cup but never a proper club one

Can someone explain the qualification? Mainly for European teams to me. Obviously we’re in it because of the CL win in 2021 right? Same for City the following year? But why are the likes of Dortmund & Inter there?

Rest of the world I believe is the same.

The rest of the world are just nowhere near the level of Europe. A League 2 side would give them more of a game.

The money they are getting from this tourney alone they could quit their jobs and actually be full time footballers for several years

We'll see how things go from here, but if we are just going to see European teams in cruise control with the Brazilian teams putting up a bit of a fight, then renewing this competition in this format is a waste of time.

I think they should have just gone with a shorter 16 team tournament with 4 groups of 4, or an even shorter 16 team knockout tournament.

Nobody is going to take this competition seriously when you have a 10-0 scorline in the 2nd game.
