Not much of a competition! What is the point of that? It's the equivalent of us playing Tottenham every week.

Well, they are hosting it in about the only country on the planet where that would be the case.

PSG seem to be taking it fairly seriously as this is a very strong side and they’re certainly playing to win. I do wonder how we’ll approach it.

I feel like I might be alone in this, but so far I’ve quite enjoyed this tournament. It may owe a little to the fact I’m able to watch it at home for free, not heading over to my dad’s to watch Chelsea huff and puff.

But I’m sure Chelsea can be relied upon to rain on my parade tomorrow.

But before then, I’m looking forward to watching Estevao in half an hour.

I'll watch Palmeires vs Porto to see what Estevao can do, but I'm not staying up for the 3am game, f**k that.

Estevao genuinely too clever for his own teammates. Great flick his attacker was too late to get to.

Another enjoyable game. Estevao unlucky not to be on the scoresheet already.

He's looked threatening, but a bit overeager at times. He should have left that chance to his teammate at the end of the half there.

Mora looks like another Felix. Fancy on the ball than sh*ts himself once in the final third.

I hadn't realised Thiago Silva was at the CWC (nor Chucky for that matter).

Every US based Chelsea supporter: get thee to a Thiago match and sing to him!

Inter are the first top European side to struggle against a team outside of Europe. Sergio Ramos scored for Monterrey, but it was really poor goalkeeping from Sommer.

I would like us to play against Silva, but it can only happen if both sides reach the final, so I don't think it's going to happen.

I knew someone would mention JT and of course JT will go down as one of our greatest all-time players, never mind defenders.

But I just feel at the age we got Silva, he had no right to be performing at that level, especially bearing in mind some of the CB partners he had to work with. JT always had the “luxury” of having players like Carvalho, Gallas, Alex, Ivanovic alongside him. JT also had Cech behind him for a long time, not the sh*t keepers Silva had!!

Just think Silva has the best footballing brain I have seen in ANY defender and to be playing at the level he still is at 40 years of age, speaks volumes.

I 100% agree with this statement.

JT is Chelsea’s best ever BUT Thiago with all the mitigating circumstances, yeah.

Just imagine if we’d actually pipped PSG to his signature when he left AC that summer.

Fans around the world are moaning at the European fans / teams because of the apparent lack of respect for the Club World Cup, but they need to understand that this competition isn't our number 1, the Champions League is our big tournament, then it's our own league (some people value both the same) It's also the fact that there is already so much football as it is, you gotta give yourself a break from it now and again or you'll just burn yourself out.
