The 'win at whatever the cost' mentality really ruins the entertainment aspect of Football. That being said, I do love a Penalty shootout when I am impartial to either side. Though I am leaning towards Roma.

Remember this night so vividly to this day. The match day nerves accumulating throughout the day as kick off drew nearer. sh*tting myself when the game started. Holding my head in my hands every time Bayern threatened to score. Crossing my fingers on the rare occasion that we managed to venture into Bayern's half. That feeling of defeat when they scored, the exact same feeling when Barca went 2 nil up and we were down to 10. Torres winning that corner and desperately clinging on to whatever optimistic naivety I had left. Going wild after Drogba's goal and knowing from that moment onwards, we were going to win, that after all these years it was finally going to be our night. Even when they won a penalty, even when Mata missed. I just knew. An awful game to watch, but a wonderful night to celebrate. KTBFFH

This. They think they can get away with shipping goals but this time I don't think they have it in them to get back into it. They were fortunate to make the final last year as they were the second best team when they played us and City.

I don't seem them as an established rival. They have been widely successful over the past decade and a half so I'm also used to it. Still, it doesn't offend me at all. I dread the fallout of Arsenal/Spurs/Utd/Pool being as successful, so naturally I do have a preference if Chelsea aren't in the conversation. Unless another team decides to pull a Leicester. As bad as our situation is, we know by now that it can go from good to sh*t really fast (2021-2023/2014/15-2016), but it can also go from really sh*t to good just as fast (2015/16-2017.)

City's success is and has always been irrelevant to me. I couldn't care less.
