Carlos Tevez came back from a year off of football, looked incredibly out of shape but was still the same Carlos and its because hes an animal lol he just has that hunger and thirst to score even if his body holds him back which it did at first. Now he looks like his old self. I'm not comparing the situations, just giving you an example of what I meant by hunger. Theres a difference between hunger ( what Tevez has ) and passion which Torres displayed by storming off ( well at least I hope that was passion because if it wasn't then it's just outright disrespect).

I think that's true to a certain extent, only because I believe that when Danny gets his chance he'll be able to flourish even though he plays a similar style to the Fernando torres of old. There's just no hunger there anymore, plain and simple. Many great players get injured and are put in these kind of situations but they always end up adapting and its because of that hunger to thrive.

Seeing him in that position today was lovely, Mikel was quite good today but I think he lacks the visual prowess of someone we need to be partnering Rami. I think a Romeu/Ramires partnership would be perfect.

Chelsea just isn't the team for this guy. I see him going back to Atletico on a freebie, I don't think they'd even accept him as part of the Falcao deal. If it does happen.

This isn't a competition, I wish Torres could live up to his price tag but it won't happen. I'm sorry but i'm not everybody. I have never been completely satisfied with Torres in a Chelsea shirt and I think im justified by the fact that I've watched practically his every touch in our shirt. To be honest with you I liked him better his first half season, it was at that time that you could of made the excuses you are making now for him. He was a lot more like the real Fernando Torres.To me at that time he was truly unlucky and maybe if he had a bit more luck he would be a different player today but I guess things just weren't meant to be for him with us. Now he just hits and hopes, he hasn't scored even one goal with finesse like he used to do for fun, he doesn't attack balls and just hides behind the defenders and I can go on about him forever but then I'd be doing the exact thing that I hate seeing most Chelsea fans do; Making it about Torres. My post isn't about Torres it's about Danny.

I'm going to keep this as simple as possible. Why doesn't he play? Also for those that believe Torres is a better option..Why? He's just turned 23 so the too young and unproven excuse doesn't hold water anymore, he's scored in double figures for the last two seasons without seeing a whole lot of the pitch. Stop trying to put my words in a different context. I said they were poor on the night not in general which is what the other guy seems to be making out from what I said. He is suggesting that I referred to them as an average team in general which I didn't. Two huge changes were made against Atletico, the main one being Lampards inclusion in that pivot. The other, Bertrand's exclusion on the left side and Ramires' inclusion on the right. Both these changes dealt a great blow in our ability to move the ball quickly and effectively. Not to mention a lack of stability. Brana didn't get any help from Ramires with the constant threat of Adrian Lopez.
