Le Arse's quest
They'll implode like always. It's down to Manchester City and ourselves to fight it out for the title, and I honestly fancy Manchester City to win it. It'll be close, but they'll get it.

Standing by my initial prediction. This will be an absolute wipe-out.

We're being linked to Luke Shaw already. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/360737/Jose-Mourinho-makes-his-move-for-Southampton-youngster-Luke-Shaw http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/454116/Cortese-departure-could-allow-Chelsea-to-snap-up-Saints-Luke-Shaw-in-21m-pound-swoop Good god, the chairman's seat is still warm.

Luke Shaw, Ashley Cole's Successor?
I really feel for Southampton. Their club might end up being turned upside down and all their best players shaken out of the tree. That being said, if we get Luke Shaw in this transfer window out of the chaos unfolding at St. Mary's it'd be incredible. Nemanja Matic AND Luke Shaw in a January transfer window? That's mental. Hell, if he was reasonably priced I'd take Rickie Lambert over Ba at this rate.

Rest assured City are not ending this season without at least one piece of silverware if not two.

Matic
Could this mean we're going to use 4-3-3 more often now? Matic / Ramires / Oscar Mata / Torres / Hazard ?

I'd be surprised if Matic starts this game. We might see him in the second half however.

Apologies. Messi vs Ronaldo discussions wind me up is all.
-
Matic
Suck it Moyes. Once upon a time that would have been "I had other offers, but Fergie is Fergie". Apparently Matic is getting the #21 shirt.

Matic
Annnnd there it is. Welcome back Matic.

Getting back on topic and away from the one-of-the-many-million "Messi vs Ronaldo" arguments... This could be huge news. Southampton's owners could up sticks and leave, with their chairman and manager likely soon to follow afterwards. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/9117086/sky-sources-southampton-owner-wants-sale-nicola-cortese-could-leave We've seen the lunacy of Vincent Tan at Cardiff, the madness of the Hull owners, and now this. It's been a poor, poor season for individually owned clubs in this respect - makes me appreciate just how much Roman has done for us and what we continue to be. Even if Roman were to back out in the next few seasons we have at least some means of remaining afloat and would probably attract a new owner soon enough. Southampton though? Not so fortunate.

Matic
Removals company probably on their way to London right now. He's probably staying with one of the squad players until his stuff arrives.

Matic
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Luiz / Matic in DM now-and-then. Or, dare-I-say-it Luiz / Ramires / Matic

Maybe it's a mascot from one of the player's kids. Lol. Let the theories begin.

Matic
It's now overwhelmingly obvious that Matic is about to return to Chelsea. We need strengthening in his preferred part of the field. Essien and Lampard have fallen victim to father time, Van Ginkel is out with a serious injury (I think that's done more harm than we think it has this season), and Ramires cannot hold down the area himself. Welcome back to Chelsea: Nemanja Matic.

Hmmm... That's odd. Wonder where that came from and what the circumstances around it were?

The game was over before it even began honestly. Villa are earth-shatteringly sh*t.

Cardiff / Villa / Sunderland all to go down this season.

Only a matter of time until Arsenal break through at this rate. Villa are shockingly bad.

Jupp Heynckes is manager of 2012/2013. Right call I'd say. Bayern have become fearsome under him and he's left Pep a hell of a team to work with. If the Player of the Year award doesn't go to Ronaldo I'd be shocked.

Matic
Be interesting to have Matic back here even though he didn't feature much to say the least.

Matic
It's coming...

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Wow, this is a mental game at the Britannia. Fairly certain that Liverpool will be in the top four by the end of the season, at the cost of Manchester United. Arsenal will make it in either third or fourth. It'll be down between ourselves and Manchester City to scrap it out for the crown.

There are actual Mancs on Red Cafe? If your average United fan was any further southern they'd be French.
