... is when players like Anelka come out after the loss at Old Trafford and say things like this

"The fans have been frustrated by our recent results, which is logical," he said.

"As far as the players are concerned, we have not been happy with some of our games.

"The positive point is that we are still on course for the treble.

"We understand it's going to be massively tough, but everything is possible."

--

What the FARK does he mean the treble is still on? How can he even say that the treble is on and he believes it is possible ... did anyone notice how when he came on he was sulking around in midfield, when, as a striker he should be up front!

--

Mass exodus please.

Christ, he must be a fool. He did nothing yesterday, as did most of the team, they were humiliated and deservedly spanked because of a poor effort, and thats his response? Shades of the Iraqi Information Minister

Same as the CL semi-final. There is a time to talk, Nico, and a time to keep quiet. Maybe acting delusional is their strategy for getting LFS fired

edit: Im an asshole for saying this. Blize is right. We may be wrist slitting left and right on this site, but to see a player who actually believes that we can win something, anything

the treble he's talking about is 3 points!!!

lmao!

I actually like what Anelka has said to be honest. He knows it's going to be a f**king huge ask to win anything, but at least he's being optimistic.

This was reflected in his game yesterday too I think, he got f**k all service but worked his socks off and was one of the few that genuinely tried.

Of course we're still on course for the treble. In case if we lose to Southend on Wednesday we'll still be on course for the double. After Juve fixture we'll be on course for the domestic title until we're mathematically out of chances of winning the premierleague, too.

It's all about glass half full theory with Chelsea nowadays.

I'm happy to hear Anelka saying something positive, the man should have started at OT and when he did come on he at least put a bit of effort in.

He has proved he is our number one striker with Goals and he has said something positive while the bloke who took his starting place has only spouted crap.

good on Nic, hope he starts every game and when he plays with a strike partner..I hope its young Franco.

I would agree with that Chippy. Although I have hardly been Anelka's most vocal supporter I acknowledge the goals he has scored this season and whilst I still don't think he is good enough to be our 'future' I do think he deserves his place in the team ahead of Drogba at the moment.

When Drogba missed that chance on Saturday and actually laughed about it I decided I would rather see Chris Sutton up front than him.

Mate when we were discussing Anelka being dropped ages ago and Di Santo being our main striker I would have been ok with giving that a go,

You can't argue with his goals though even if they are not against the top teams, thats as much down to it being harder to create chances for him than how he takes them in my opinion.

I think he would be a good player in a 4-4-2 with decent wide players and a decent big powerful partner...sad thing is we are nearer having decent wide players than having a decent big powerful partner for him.
