CHELSEA kid Michael Mancienne is set to rejoin Wolves on loan.

Highly-rated defender Mancienne, 21, had a successful spell at Molineux earlier this term before returning to Stamford Bridge in December.

But the Blues are prepared to allow him to return to the Midlands on a fresh loan deal.

The move is set to be given the go-ahead tomorrow as long as unsettled Chelsea centre-back Branislav Ivanovic does not leave.

The Serbian ace has been linked with a switch to Fiorentina — but the Blues have yet to receive a bid with tomorrow’s transfer deadline looming.

We recalled him because Terry was suspended and Carvalho injured and because there was a danger that Ivanovic might leave in the transfer window. Even then he didn't actually get a game. If all are fit and Ivanovic stays then he may as well go and get some playing time.

Yeah he's best off go back out on loan and again next season if Wolves get promoted as experience which he's unlikely to get at the bridge at the min will stand him good stead when he is summoned to slot into the chelsea back 4

Ok, fair enough he was cover. But in the few weeks he has been here, I wouldve thought he could get five minutes of time in a game, just to get his feet wet. I don't really think he is going to continue to hold out hope of a first team place here when most that have seen him play say he looks the part and still isnt in anyone's plans here. Like Elmer, Morais, Sinclair, Sahar before them

Perhaps management thought he could get some playing time, but werent expecting us needing all the defense we could get to beat southend, stoke, ipswich, what have you.

Hope he goes back, but why the f**k did we recall him anyway? Seriously, what a shambles, the boy was doing brilliantly at Wolves... we bring him back, and since then he's spent two games on the bench, and even then he had Ivanovic and maybe Ferreira ahead of him

true. Looking at that schedule, that shouldve been 3 strolls for this team, and yet we had to battle in every one.

Ah well, I just hope he is back at the end of the season and we demonstrate that he has a future here.
