Who watches the Watchmen?

I'm mixed about it. Found it way too long for what it was and seemed to really drag on at some point, and one key element, I felt it was missing action. Liked the characters though, and the idea behind the story, but I think a prequel or sequel is somewhat needed.

heard mixed reports of this which is why ive not been to see it yet. easily the best thing i read as a kid and i was actually dissapointed when it was made as i always thought it would be impossible to do well, and it sounds like i was right. 3 mates have been to see it and they all said it was fairly meh. not bad but not briliiant.

was decent, but flawed.

great soundtrack aside from a couple of tracks, and a few brilliant set peices. also the essence of the ending is intact, which is great.

also features one of the worst sex scenes ever, takes a fairly important scene in the book and alsmost parodies it in the style of austin powers.

When I first read that, I thought you meant worst as in bad / graphic - like some terrible rape scene. Want to take my son when it's out in the UK - what cert is it?

18, unfortunately. I want to see it, but I'm only 16 :o

no no it's just cringey.

however there is a rape scene (not explicit really), there is full frontal male and female nudity- the material isn't really for children- it's rated 18, you do see bones snap out of skin, lots of blood, oil thrown onto some guy's face, limbs cut off with an electric saw, butcher's knife to the skull....

it's unflinchlingly violent, and it's more talking than action in truth. it's sort of shot in a cartoony and excessive way (like kill bill or 300).

these things are judgement calls- you will know what is right for your son so all I will say is it does deserve the 18 rating.
