blueday3
source Scottish FA have said Barry Ferguson and Alan McGregor will no longer be considered for the national squad, and Ferguson has been stripped of Ger's captaincy after a drinking session, and V signs made while on the bench against Iceland. loz
Yep, pretty big news u[ hear although not as big as you might think as most people think Ferguson is nowehere near his best anymore and Gordon is considered to be Scotland's best goalkeeper. McGregor has been on the fornt pages more than he has the back in recent years and between him and Ferguson you can count the brain cells on a fish's fingers. There were also a lot of rumours that Rangers had placed them both on the transfer list however it appears they have just been suspended and, as you said, Ferguson has been stripped of the club captaincy. dkw
its amazing how many footballers are brain dead idiots. why do that? what on earth made them think it was a good idea? and i hate footballers going out on the lash. there paid incredibly well to be ready and at the top of their fitness to play for their club and the fanse that pay their wages. one piss up later and their fitness can drop by 5%, and that drop could mean the difference between a win and a loss. they have a career of around 15 years if they are lucky, so why not just drink for a couple of weeks during the close season and after they finish playing? look at athletes, the top athlets dont drink, ever. they spend 4 years building up to the olympics and keep themselves at their peak. thats dedication. Tim
Ferguson really is a complete tit. Bottled it in the Prem, and so ran back to be a big dog in a small pond, and then acts like a spoilt child at the age of 31. He seriously needs to grow up, but I doubt he will. Neither club or country needs a player like that. Edited April 4, 2009 by Tim
