Posted April 5, 200916 yr Seen this story doing the rounds, and think SSN are even starting to give it some notice. However, Franc Ribery is meant to be coming to Man Utd in the summer to replace the departing Ronaldo who is being linked, again, with a move to Real Madrid Scott
April 5, 200916 yr As glad as I am we won't be exposed to Cristiana's obnoxious face anymore, if we miss out on Ribery even when we obviously need a player of his calibre, then there is something very wrong in the club. Edited April 5, 200916 yr by Virosh
April 5, 200916 yr all we can do is bid for him and try to convince him to sign. but just like we were the more attractive side to join for ballack and essien, man united are more likely to appeal to the big players this summer. hopefully we can act fast and under the radar (we won't).
April 6, 200916 yr Author Yeah, it all depends on how we go about this, but if Man Utd make their case known that they have every intention of signing Ribery, then it will become a straight out bidding war, and that is one Man Utd will win. But wait, we have Roman's billions, right? Well, I don't think we will splash out as much as we have in the past (and certainly not on one player), plus, Man U will be able to demand of Real any sort of price they want for Cristiano; they could then turn that money over straight into the purchase of Ribery, no debt for them and the addition of a great player to replace one that is leaving. April 7, 200916 yr I just saw a photo of that Machedo fellow who scored in injury time to give ManU the win over the Villians. I see that he is 17 years old, but by his picture he looks like he is 50+ years old. Good Grief!
