g) Anelka v Aston Villa (a) - Lampard beats two, Anelka cool finish

h) Alex v Liverpool (h) - Rocket free kick

i) Drogba v Fulham (h) - good passing move involving Anelka

j) Essien v Barcelona (h) - thumping left foot volley

Tough call. The Deco one was stunning, as was the Essien goal. Alex's was great, and Lamps chip was incredible. When Essien struck that left foot volley in I screamed "Thats the best goal I've ever seen!" So I might have to go with that one.

Yes, it really is a tough call but for me it has to be Essiens goal. That was a sensational goal. That is followed closely by Alexs.

One thing though. Chelsea has a filthy rich owner, but the quality of the goal vid on the homepage is laughable. You can barely see the ball :)

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like someone shot it with a mobile phone from the upper tier.

For me it's a close call between Essien's volley, the power and technique was just awesome and Lampard's chip which was plain audacious. I went with Essien's volley though as it just gets better with each viewing.

All great goals with Essien's the pick for me. After the last few days however, our winning goal (by whomever & however) at Wembley will be my choice.

Essien's and it's not close.

Then again, my favorite goal of all time was Zidane's winner in the Champions League and that was nearly identical.

I would vote for Essien, hands down, but unfortunately for me that goal is be tainted as it will always remind me of the travesty that followed it. Not that that should detract from how good a finish it was, but I can't remember that moment of glory without being reminded of the misery at the end.

Maka's wonder goal against Spuds falls into the same category, and seems to get largely forgotten, as we ended up losing that game.
