This is the part I don't understand either. We have Arnesen doing good job bringing in young prospects and they have no bl**dy chance of playing because of this kind of buying policy. It's probably really 'nice' to be in our youth team or reserves. No matter how well you play you end up at Wolves on loan etc... I just hate sometimes how we handle things. I blame Kenyon!!
June 12, 200915 yr The journos don't have a clue about who we're really after, but it's close season and they have to fill the pages somehow. They just take the easy way and link just about every player that has played in a team that Ancelotti has managed or a player that Ancelotti has tried to sign in the past.

Who said we had. While you can not believe everything it is equally foolish to just dismiss everything. Most of those we are being linked with (see above) have quotes in the stories fom the agents...who could also be 'flying kites'. I just fear these stories being true. Us signing Deco and Miniero last season made no sense to me...but still they came!

And there lies the real poison behind pretty much all of the stories hitting the press right now no matter which team the story relates to. The parasites that are agents know they have a very short time frame to make some serious money and will tout their clients like prostitutes to try and get as much out of a deal as they can with scant regard for the well-being of their own client.

Abramovich is the owner and surely he can have his way if he wanted? If he really wanted youth to come up the ranks and be given a chance in the first team, he can surely tell the manager his wish. In that case, however, he has to relax some of the demands of instant success and give some time to the manager. I hate to say this but I think we can learn a thing or two about building team from Sir Red Nose.

June 12, 200915 yr All this sh*t about sigining every 30 year old player from Milan is a combination of -the press wanting to slam us by running a "____ Rejects Chelsea" story every couple of days and -the press being lazy and assuming a manager wants to sign all his old players no basis in fact, for me.
