This set is curated by legendary graphic designer, Vaughan Oliver, who in connection with photographer Simon Larbalestier, created the album artwork for all five Pixies' studio albums. Oliver and Larbalestier have teamed up once again on Minotaur, to create their largest single body of Pixies work to date. Includes all five Pixies' studio albums (Come on Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Bossanova, and Trompe le Monde) in the following formats: * 24k gold plated CDs * five 12" - 180 gram virgin vinyl LPs cut from the original analog tapes * Blu-ray audio mastered for 5.1 surround sound at 24/192, and 2 channel stereo * DVD mastered for 5.1 surround sound at 24/96, and 2 channel stereo Also included is the previously unreleased Pixies 1991 live performance from Brixton, on both Blu-ray and DVD, mastered for 5.1 surround sound at 24/192 and 24/96, respectively. All discs are housed in a custom designed folio. In addition to reinterpreting all of the original album covers, Oliver's and Larbalestier's extensive work is featured in a 96-page fine art book, measuring 22" x 14" inches, and an additional 54-page book, measuring 7.75" x 8.25". Also included is a 12" x 19.5" giclee print of the duo’s work, and two double-sided fold-out posters measuring 48" x 36". Each copy of the Limited Edition is individually numbered, and hand-signed by every member of the Pixies and Vaughan Oliver Been a fan since i was 16, at sixth form college. i was into Janes Addiction and Faith No More at that time and i borrowed 'Come on Pilgrim' from a twat in my theatre studies group who used to wear the same levellers t-shirt EVERY DAY. Anyway i got hooked and have been since then. Hard to think of a more influential band on alternative music in the past 25 years!

Another band that are massively overlooked but infuential in Alternative music are built to spill...who I'm off to see in November. Sorry, just thought you might appreciate that. Cracking line up of stuff in that box set...CD's dipped in gold? LP's, DVD's. Has to be about....oooh, lets play the price is right. I'll guess three hundred and fifty quid

I'll guess three hundred and fifty quid Close! its £370. and yes i know it seems excessive but the pixes mean so much to mean i dont care. i will cherish it. there is also a less extravagant version that goes for £100. funnily i just downloaded the new built for spill record last week, havent had a chance to listen to it yet though. i'll let you know what i think.
