Plavi26 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 While watching the game today, the commentator said something really interesting and I was wondering if there was any truth in it. If Pompey don't go trough with their court battle, all the games they played in would be taken out from the calender and the points taken out as well (which means Man Utd would lose 6 pts, and us 3pts in the process). This would also mean players goals would be taken out, given Drogba a lead in the Golden Boot tally. Is there any truth in this and how does it work if the team does go bankrupt?

Zola Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Heard this as well, I really can't see that happening, but you never know. To be honest I hope it doesnt because I want the Mancs to know deep down we beat them to the race fair and square.
Gem Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 As I said in the other thread - the Mancs would therefore have a game in hand, so it's not like we'll get any real bonus for this. Of course, I sincerely hope it doesn't happen.
