I think the commentator was more excited than the player who scored that goal :).

I once saw Jorge ALbertz hit a similar strike however the difference was that it was in the pre-match warm up. It was at Ibrox and he was either inside his own half or just over the half way line and he absolutely hammered it. The remarkable thing about his strike was that, unlike the goal above, the ball was still rising when it hit the back of the net. OK it was not actually in a game but it was a dead ball and if he had hit it the same way in a game I doubt any keeper would have got near it (assuming they were not on their line which they would be unlikely to be)

This gives it a run for it's money.

That first goal was a nice shot, but one has to wonder what on earth the keeper was doing. It wasn't that hard and from that distance he shouldn't have had any trouble at simply walking over to where the ball was heading and save the shot.

Was the keeper english perhaps? :)

both those goals are absolutely incredible strikes, figueroa's one against stoke in the prem this year wasnt too bad either
