Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is lining up a summer move for Lyon youngster Miralem Pjanic. The Stamford Bridge boss has been monitoring the 20 year old Bosnian international for some time and will look to beat other interested parties to sign the talented playmaker.

Pjanic has been a consistent performer at the Stade Gerland since he was signed from Metz back in 2008 and he came to the fore last term when his efforts helped Claude Puel’s side to the Champions League semi-finals but things have not gone very well for Lyon this season and this has led to speculation that he may be looking to leave for pastures new.

Lyon sit in 8th place in Ligue 1 and may struggle to keep the attacking midfielder from being tempted by a move to the Premier League champions. Ancelotti is looking to bring in young additions to his ageing Blues squad and a move for Pjanic would be a wise move as the Italian plans for the future.

God, please make it happen. Exactly the kind of attacking player the squad currently lacks. A winger who loves to run at defenses and is incredibly quick. And looks like a great distance shooter. He was phenomenal against Real Madrid last year caused them problems all day and then scored the winner in the second leg.

I cant believe he is only 20. His name has been around for so long I thought he was older. Sign him the hell up.

Agree, he's looked like a great player. There are some nice players from the lower place teams ive seen, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Bastos, Saldado, Mata. These are the kinds of players we should be looking at.

Pjanic is more of an attacking midfielder i thought? He's a terrific talent who's been doing well for Lyon so I don't see why they would sell him unless there is some other issue. Nothing to suggest that this isn't another BS rumour

First post on here but I think we should go for him, seems like a great prospect and we could really use a young talented player our squad is aging rapidly

Firstly Welcome to the Shed End.

The way we're playing currently we would need a couple more signings to get back into the title race. Though Pjanic is undoubtedly a great player but his transfer fee maybe the biggest hindrance to a potential move.

A very good prospect, however as we all know dealing with Lyon comes with a premium transfer fee. Given as well our ludicrous position at the top of agent fees when we have hardly made a dent in recent times in transfers, seems to me those advising Roman are taking him for a ride and he will be taking a closer interest in all that goes on.My biggest worry has come to roost however this morning, as I raised concern in a post in the wake of Russia getting the World Cup in 2018 about Romans role, Putin has come out and said he expects a large chunk of Romans cash to help build their World Cup empire. Quite where that leaves us in the next 8 years of planning and building is anyones guess.

them fees also included negotiating new contracts for several players, along with staggered payments from the past few years.

I have now changed my mind about FIFA's decision to hold the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. I believe it will be a wonderful World Cup, a World Cup to eclipse all other World Cups. The Emir of Qatar is to be applauded for giving permission to hold the World Cup within his most wonderful domain. And it is simply churlish people to complain about the heat, the possibility of having an enforced winter break, the size of the country or anything else.

And why am I saying that? Because it wouldn't surprise me at all to wake up one day and found that we'd been sold to an Arab consortium or similar. And they might just be Qatari.

Do I beleive anything of what I've just written? That's for me to know and you to work out.

A wicked thought Hutch, and I am leaving everyone to read what they will in deciding the term of ' wicked ' to that I refer! Has Roman bunged them both and a sell out is in the oil filled pipeline?

I dont know much about Bastos or Saldado, but the other three you mentioned are ones for the future.

Hazard, Pjanic and/or Mata would give us some wing wizardry and cutting edge we have missed since Duff/Robben days, and Marko Marin falls like Dzagoev into that "unpolished midfield diamond" category. One day, that kid will be a star if he times his career right.

I'll happily admit that was one of the most (perhaps the most!) wicked post I've made on this forum. And now there's this:

Tottenham, Everton & Newcastle United head shortlist as mega-rich Qatar royal family seek to buy Premier League club

Bound to happen.

Oh lord, that is really bound to happen. Hopefully, if it does happen, its Everton. Kenright has sounded out buyers in the past, and has said that he will sell when he finds the right ones. And at the moment, that club is treading water and in need of some backing for a pretty solid manager.

I doubt spurs shareholders are going to sell up for the good of the club alone, and after this week, I dont think Mike Ashley is going anywhere.
